What is the epitome of "don't judge the music by its album cover?"

Ok...so Red Hot Chili Peppers is a phenomenal band I don't know what possessed them to pick such an awful cover for their greatest hits album.

i don't judge an album by its cover, but if an album cover takes my attention when i am looking up music randomly, i'll sure try to see what does it have on it.

Yeah I kinda liked the cover for "The Bends" also. Tell ya what I didnt like though was the cover of the new Shins record "Wincing The Night Away". The record is great but the cover just does not fit it. Mew is another one with an EXCELLENT record but a blah cover. Check out "And The Glass Handed Kites". I love this record big time but the cover makes no sense to me. Oh well nothin to complain about with music that good!

Yeah, I don't mind the cover for Glass Handed Kites, it's a bit bizarre but the music on the CD inside far surpasses it.

When an album has an exceptional cover I tend to like it a little bit more. For me the artwork is a factor.

urgh, did anyone see the new Incubus cover? I have a hard time believing the music can be as bas as it looks.
