That is right, today I used my Christmas money to buy my first Radiohead album. Well actually I bought two, Kid A and OK Computer. What I've heard so far is awesome. I can't wait to keep listening to them.

I still think Radiohead is overrated, but I have more respect for them now than I did before.

I did that too a few weeks ago. I only bought OK Computer to see if it's really that good.
I think I'll buy more soon.

The Bends is good, probably their most accessible for a non-fan.
And it has Fake Plastic Trees on it too!
P.S. 'Lucky' from OK Computer is AWESOME.

When I was at the store deciding I was thinking, "What would Nik buy?". Well not really but I did have coldplayers in the back of my mind, just remembering what albums people said they liked the best. I have a burnt copy of the bends :stunned: but I will buy it for sure down the road when I get more $$$$.

if you'll want to buy another RH album, buy Amnesiac!
Amnesiac is probably their darkest album. it's not easy to love, but it has the best songs Radiohead have ever made (Pyramid Song, LSP, LIAGH)

i would always go with "The Bends" instead of "Kid A"

^^I agree. :D
My favorite Radiohead song now is 'High and Dry'. God I love that song.
Oh congradulations. I remember the day I bought Kid A... I was happy like a kid myself. It costed much but I really was happy.
By the way, you really bought the best ones. Now you need to get Amnesiac (Life In A Glass House would be enough to buy it), then The Bends and then Hail... And after that you may buy Pablo Honey... That's the order I'd like
Well done for buying their best album (Kid A).
It prob is the best album so far this century.

Yes, it was the most difficult one of theirs to really get into for me.
Kid A is just fantastic though, much prefer it to Amnesiac.

well, you bought the 2 best of theirs
nice choice!Rubbish, that 'd of course be Amnesiac. Never again has there been an album so perfect.
My first Radiohead album was Hail to the Thief when it came out 2003. I really liked it and got Ok Computer because everyone said that'd be their best one. In all honesty I couldn't get into it. I thought it had nice songs but it really didn't grab me. Twas the My Iron Lung EP and I might be wrong that made me realize again how absolutly brilliant Radiohead are. I still think Ok Computer is their weakest album (um, after Pablo Honey of course).
I'd be like
Amnesiac
Kid A
I might be wrong
The Bends
Hail to the Thief
Ok Computer
Pablo Honey
Anyone who agrees?

I'd say OK Computer is pretty much the perfection of modern rock. there was no better rock album since OKC and the way rock goes today, never be.
i'd say:
Kid A
OKC
Amnesiac
The Bends
IMBW
Airbag
My Iron Lung
HTTT
Pablo Honey

i don't have any either!
i don't have a lot of albums that i probably should.
i listen to random songs sometimes and think i should get the album of the artist, then contemplate whether the album will be just as good as the tracks i've been listening too.

I got all their albums and EP's.
And I like every single song!

For me, OK Computer has been the best album since 1975 (see my top 100 album list (http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1773369&postcount=82)). Totally love it.

Today I bought Kid A, my first Radiohead album (yeah, go ahead, call me crazy for that :P )...I haven't seen this thread before buying it, guess it would be helpful...After one hour to to decide between ok computer and kid A, I got out of the store with the 2nd option and I'm pretty happy with it...Wow, and does it liberate some sort of drugs in the air?I'm getting too addicted to it! :freak: Now, can't wait to put my hands into on ok computer...And then, on the others...Is another Radiohead fan coming up here?Maybe... :D :P
Ps: Zelda! :wideeyed:

I don't think they can really be compared. OK Computer is just so epic. HTTDAB is great but I mean its nowhere near Achtung Baby or the Joshua Tree.

I'm not sure- bsides and such I think, but last time I was in Future Shop they had a brand new copy of it. It's at the HMV downtown too. Pity I don't have any money for it.

If I can get a single or EP cheeper used I usually go with that option. My tuition this semester is alot cheeper than I thuoght it would be so I have more room for my music budget to increase a little bit.

Well, actually, there can't be anything else than B-Sides on an EP, can it ?
1 - My Iron Lung
2 - The Trickster
3 - Lewis (Mistreated)
4 - Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong
5 - Permanent Daylight
6 - Lozenge Of Love
7 - You Never Wash Up After Yourself
8 - Creep (Acoustic)
I think it's a good disc. Nothing to compare with any RH album, but a good step between Pablo Honey and The Bends. And i love You Never Wash Up After Yourself.
