it's what shows are generally recorded in, huge filesizes for what they are, and very little quality difference, but a lot of the places i go to demand .shns so it's a no win situation.
they take u huge amounts of hdd
like a dave matthews show i got the other night, 900mbs for a two and a half hour concert

there's a reason behind the shn file format - not because of "no win" situation;)
they've found that is the best way to ensure the files are infact intact and traded at the highest quality possibly...not with mp3s where everytime they are passed down and ripped and so forth they lose data every "generation" or hand they get passed down to...

It's a shame that there some of the older Coldplay concerts are in mp3 and can't be availabe in the original shn format:(
