I have to agree, to be honest.. We've already seen a fight between Julia and mc_squared in another thread, and such awards simply get the worst out of you ^^ Everyone wants to win, everyone wants to be mentioned, bla bla.. I'm not on this board to be popular, I'm on this board to discuss music, or other stuff, and get to know new people. No need to pick my favourite or anything :P

I voted you "best newcomer" at the time because I felt you deserved it. It's as simple as that.;)

Maybe - but that doesn't make it "right".;)
but it's all in fun......if somebody starts a "vote me" thread that doesn't mean that he/she is conceited and thinks he/she is the best.....I don't understand why this is a problem this year and wasn't last year....
if people won't start threads like this (for fun.............................................) it maybe would be boring.....that's what it's there for....to have a fun competition.....
or do you really think someone will be angry if he didn't win anything or if nobody voted for him?
I definitely won't!

Thanks god. I'm gonna ignore the whole thing. I've seen such stuff on another board and it didn't lead anywhere good. People were sending pm's to each other to make someone vote for them. Duh... Let's just get drunk and dance all night :nice:

Yes.....I feel now like I should say something because all the discussions between Mark and the "doom crew" are always about the same things....
so now that I part of the doom crew and can say my opinion (I've got in my mind right now) here......
Mark,......you are talking about negativity on this board which is caused by Nik????
What I think about the awards this year that it is full of negativity......but NO NOT BECAUSE OF THE "DOOM CREW"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU were the one who started all this this time.....yes believe it or not.....but if you didn't mention those things (very appropriate posts Nik linked some "posts ago") then it would all have been for fun and nothing else.....
the first thing you do is mentioning the "(fucking) doom crew" in your "vote me" thread......I thought "OK....let him mention those things....maybe I should comment on that so that he is satisfied.....and point...."
so I started this thread on my own......(i repeat myself...) one of those threads which make these awards fun.....and you were the first to comment.-.---
and you did exactly know that an argument will follow....(but noooo you are free to say your opinion....gosh....)
so what these awards make negative are your damn comments you should have kept for your own!
so stop talking about negativity.............................

yes now I feel like being attacked....
however.....actually I know that I'm going to vote anyways....ahah
I was even a bit looking forward to it.....because last year I thought it was fun.......but the bad start of this year pisses me off in a virtual way....

this thread isn't negative. if i don't want to vote, then i don't do that, and if i "say out loud" that i won't vote, it's not your business. i'm not alone of 26010 members who's not going to vote, go figure. and you won't be the one who will tell me what to do and what not ;)
three? you attack more people than you think you do ;)

campaigns aren't lame, it's only you who still is ;)
As usual, you are only talking about yourself. You always seem to be criticising the board in one way or another, and that is very sad considering how much time you spend on here.
It's also very worrying that you appear to be obsessed with digging up old comments that nobody's the least bit interested in (except for you).
Extremely sad indeed............................................ ...

hehe sorry there...I know that he didn't start this thread.....so we both know it and so I called it "vote me" thread.....didn't find a better name fast enough....;)
all I can say is:
I feel like boycotting these awards as well recently.....because when I see how many people started "vote me" threads since my last visit on here....and how those threads have been taken (as fun!!)......and what happened in my "vote me" thread (which wasn't my fault....)......I somehow feel like not participating in it anymore.....I feel a bit "teased" there.....
As I've said before, if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

you had to start argument in this thread and now you want to lock it:wacko:
The thread topic was inciteful in the first place, so it was the argument.;)

As the "awards" are very much part of the board, I'm afraid you did.;)
And then of course there was the time you criticised "The Lounge" and certain diehard Coldplay fans.

I'm afraid you've made it everyone's business, because you started it in a public forum.
If you want to keep such opinions or discussions private, I suggest you use MSN Messenger or an alternative chat program.;)

Well, I don't need every category ... One can be left out. But I don't mind winning all the others ... :P
