I am a fan of Oasis... and even became more thanks to you guyss:laugh3: .... and
when i heard about their song i instantly searched for it in youtube and started for a listen.................... I started too play it and then came the new oasis it sounded like their old days.. actually I never really liked their past efforts on the other albums since the start of the 00's I never even noticed that they already released 3 albums already..... oh well I guess its the downfall of their popularity in the world,.... But yeah lets get back to the topic. Its pretty catchy especially when it comes to the phrase " come in come out" but yeah overall enjoyable but to rate it its quite average.. the second time i listened to it.... its really hard to recover you know once youve fallen... but alteast another breath of fresh air from rock since Im really sicked out of all the R&b techno crap sounds i hear all the time in the radio.........

These guys are arrogants and full of themselves, they don't give a fuck about NOBODY!
"They're [Radiohead] middle-class boys worrying about pushing an envelope somewhere, and all that carbon footprint and all that bollocks. Every time there's a polar bear on his tiptoes on an ice cube in the middle of the Antarctic, you know whose fault that is? Rock stars'. That's their fault. Any time there's food running out somewhere-- 'Let's do a gig. That'll sort it out. Let's do a big fucking gig. Let's fly everybody in from all over the world and pontificate to poor people about how they should be saving the planet.' Go fucking kiss my ass. It's very easy to just say, 'We're going to become difficult now and challenge our audience.' I like my audience. They paid for my swimming pool. I'm not fucking challenging anybody."

YouTube - Oasis' Noel Gallagher assaulted on stage in Toronto--2008-9-7
Oasis star Noel Gallagher was admitted to hospital after being pushed over during the band's set at the V Festival in Toronto, Canada on Sunday.
According to the band's website, the star "fell heavily onto his monitor speakers". He may have fractured his rib and sustained ligament damage.
The 40-year-old was playing guitar during a performance of Morning Glory when a stage invader pushed him over.
Oasis have hinted that a gig on Tuesday may be cancelled as a result.
Fans have been asked to keep checking the band's website for updates on the show, which is due to take place in London, Ontario.
Gallagher's attacker was hauled to the ground by security guards. The guitarist's younger brother Liam, who was singing, had to be restrained from retaliating.
The incident was captured on video by a fan in the audience and posted on the YouTube website.
Oasis left the stage immediately after the attack, but the show resumed a few minutes later.
Gallagher's assailant was detained in police custody and will be charged with assault, according to the statement on Oasis' website.
The festival gig came as the band prepare to complete their North American tour, which ends in New York on Friday.
Gallagher has yet to comment on the incident on the blog which he has been updating throughout the tour.

from pitchfork:
Oasis Update: Noel Hospitalized, Assailant Arrested
Okay, we admit it. Upon first viewing the YouTube clip of Noel Gallagher getting knocked on his ass by an unnamed assailant during last night's Oasis set at the Virgin Festival, we LOL'd. Kind of a lot. Perhaps we even felt a smidgen of schadenfreude, too. But it would seem those reactions were a bit premature. According to a message just posted to their website, Oasis are taking the matter very seriously.
In addition to providing perspective on what happened, the Oasis statement reveals a couple significant details surrounding the incident: 1. Although Noel Gallagher returned to perform after getting knocked over, he was taken to a hospital following the show and examined for "a suspected fractured rib and ligament damage," and 2. The assailant was detained by police and "will be charged with assault."
UPDATE: According to the Toronto Star, the attacker is 47-year-old Daniel Sullivan.
What's more, presumably due to Noel's injuries, it's not clear yet whether Oasis will perform as scheduled in London, Ontario tomorrow night (September 9).
Here's that statement in full:
Oasis' Noel Gallagher was attacked by an unidentified man during the band's show in Toronto last night. While Noel and the band were performing "Morning Glory", the assailant ran on from the back of the stage and pushed Noel from behind, who fell heavily on to his monitor speakers.
Despite his injuries, Noel returned to the stage a few minutes later to complete the band's set but was taken to hospital after the show to be examined for a suspected fractured rib and ligament damage. The assailant was detained in police custody and will be charged with assault.
No decision has been made regarding Tuesday's concert in London, Ontario, but fans are urged to keep checking the band's web site Oasisinet.com and local media for updates.
As if all that weren't bad enough, NME.com reports that former Jam frontman Paul Weller was rumored to appear with Oasis at Virgin Festival to play his part in "Champagne Supernova", but that the assault incident dashed those plans.
Pitchfork also talked to Matt Bowman, frontman for UK press darlings and fellow Virgin Festival performers the Pigeon Detectives, who claims he was "just bang in front of Noel" when the attacker came at the elder Gallagher.
"It looked like [Noel] was in quite a lot of pain," according to Bowman. "It was pretty shit-cheap shot-- just from the back, and Noel didn't expect it coming. It certainly wiped him out."
Bowman described himself and his bandmates as being "literally dumbstruck" by the proceedings. "I mean, we had never seen anything like it...it put quite a damper on the mood."

Yet in an earlier post you said "Of course I laughed", which is it?
It's one thing to run your mouth in the media about people, who lets face it, run their mouths back (it's something that usually happens when both bands have an album coming or released around the same time), it's completely different to launch a physical attack.
I really hate people who think just because someone is in the limelight they deserve violence to be committed against them.
Then again, if that's your way of looking at things, I guess we have the right to laugh now if something unfortunate happens to you seeing as how you've been running your trap.

I thought about that man. When I heard that noel was tackled down by a fan maniac I was glad that it was only a push, it could have been worst, he could have killed Noel. I don't know why when I heard the notice I thought about when John Lennon was shot by a fan.

W/E... to all the people who seem to now have a problem with me.
I love the guy, more that you no doubt. I think the Galligar brothers are some of the funniest people in the music industry.
This is just another story to add to the hilarious autobiography Noel will write one day.
And I dunno, knowing Noel I could see him finding something of this nature funny if it wasn't him, bearing in mind Oasis advocated violence and vandalism to the record label if they wouldn't let them perform (after they crashed another bands audition) back in their pre tabloid days.
Now this is the last time im going to recipricate a reply to any personal comments about me so writing them down here is only going to be wasting your time.

Noel on booze: "I can drink all fucking day and night and it doesn't put a dent in me."
"Loads of new songs…they're all brilliant"
Noel Gallagher has admitted that he'd like all of the members of Oasis to record solo albums following Dig Out Your Soul. However, fans shouldn't start thinking about pre-ordering CDs just yet.
In a recent reader Q&A for US magazine Blender, Noel was asked when he'd finally make a solo album.
"I'd like for us to do separate projects after this record." Noel revealed. "We'd all have to agree on it, so it will probably never happen. I've got loads of new songs. Somewhat predictably, they're all brilliant."
"We need to concentrate on fucking women, taking drugs, wearing sunglasses and being cool. Never mind the polar bears."The ever-quotable Oasis star was also far from reticent with regard to his feelings about Radiohead and Coldplay:
"Radiohead and Coldplay think too much. They get to a certain level and start worrying about the environment.
"That's for the governments of the world to worry about. We need to concentrate on fucking women, taking drugs, wearing sunglasses and being cool. Never mind the polar bears."
And on Jay-Z covering Wonderwall at Glastonbury: "It was pretty funny. But I'm not sure one should be seen in public with a white Stratocaster."

Ok, so the guy has a bit of an ego (and please name me just one performer who doesn't btw). He says what he thinks rather than be PC about everything and he has perhaps said some not very nice things about 1 or 2 other singers/bands you like. But he deserves to violently assaulted from behind? Come on mate, you're better than that aren't you?
As for the album leak, I really don't know whether to download it. For anyone else I would, but for my favourites I usually feel I should avoid the illegal versions and buy the thing the day it comes out. But the sample clips I've heard are so good that it's so tempting knowing I could be minutes from hearing it.

Well, yeah.....you may disagree.....but I'm still right. :sneaky:
It's obviously down to taste - and I feel that if this was their second album Oasis would be struggling. But since their first and second albums have some great songs they are riding the 'life long, fanatical fan wave' now and probably will until they die.
Unless they create a great album in the future of course.
I was a huge Oasis in my mid teens and bought all singles at like 8am so I could hear new B-Sides.....the magic has faded now. They have had a couple of alright songs but I think after "Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants" it was always going to be hard for them to win me over again....I'm waiting.

Upon the first listen of the leak... Its not bad. Its not great. There is some excellent musicianship here. The album seems to get dull as it moves forward. This may change after a few more listens. Still nothing as spectacular as "WTSMG" and that's disappointing.
Stand outs - Bag it up, The Turning, Shock Of Lightning, Falling Down<-----LOL!

Noel Gallagher has been outspoken about free music downloads, but will now post Oasis new album on MySpace
Despite Noel Gallagher’s determined declaration last year that Oasis would never give away an album à la Radiohead, the band are about to embrace the growing free music culture by allowing fans to listen to their new album on MySpace.
Stopping short of giving away Dig Out Your Soul, Oasis have announced they will post their much-anticipated seventh studio album on social networking website MySpace ahead of its release date next Monday.
The album will be posted in its entirety at midday tomorrow and will remain on the site, allowing fans to listen for free, for the rest of the week.
Frontman Gallagher had previously balked at the decline of music sales and rise of reputable bands, including Coldplay, giving away tracks online.
After Radiohead’s history-making decision to make the album In Rainbows available via an ‘honesty box system’ last year, Gallagher publicly declared: "I didn't spend a year in the most expensive studio in England, with the most expensive producer in America and the most expensive graphic designer in London, to then give it away. F*** that."
But he conceded that it might have been a clever thinking by Radiohead. “To be honest, to me it looked like marketing – a great way of getting a load of marketing for free really. But good for them. That's what they do, they're rebels and outsiders.”
Oasis, themselves often considered rebels, need little publicity, having rarely strayed from the news over the past month since Gallagher was attacked on stage during a performance in Canada.
Touring to promote Dig Out Your Soul, the 41-year-old was attacked on September 8 while performing at the V Festival in Toronto. A man rushed the stage and shoved Gallagher into his monitor speakers, leaving the singer in need of hospital treatment.
The band has since cancelled a series of gigs but become a constant media presence after a man was charged with assault and Gallagher was diagnosed with broken and dislodged ribs.
Dig Out Your Soul is expected to top the music charts after the band’s previous six albums all made it to No. 1.

Ok I've listened to the new album. Being a huge Oasis fan, this is pretty disappointing. I thought Don't Believe the Truth was a great new direction, but Dig Out Your Soul is....I hate to say it, but boring. No real epic sing-along songs or really stand out songs IMO. They're all ok. I do like the first 5 songs or so, but then it drags, to where the last two songs I don't like at all. Feels sort of like Heathen Chemistry 2 though.

So yeah I pre-ordered the album on iTunes, and let me just say that its about 99% chance I don't cancel it. This album is a huge disappointment at the moment. I'm really trying to get myself to like certain songs, but I just can't. I like a few songs, but its not worth it to purchase the whole album, especially when there's no continuity.
And I add:
In finally finishing the whole album, I can say that I really really do not like this album.
I am a solid fan of Oasis. I can usually find good stuff on all their albums. I guess I thought that buying a whole album was a good idea...I was wrong.

I've just listened to it for the first time, and quite honestly I like it. Very Beatlesque in spots, and certainly different from what has come before. I'm very appreciative of musicians who are not afraid to take their music in a new direction.

Right if Oasis fans hate it (especially those that liked the tripe they produced last time around - the singles of that album) im guessing i'll like this album.
It seems Oasis are presenting their heavy wall of sound in a completely new way.

Jesus, the people who don't like this album really baffle me, it's sooo much better than DBTT, with every stryle of song catered for, from the sweeping souldful ballad, to the full wall of noise rock out.
How any one can complain that it is boring I don't know, the first 4 tracks alone are enough to blow speakers if you turned them up too loud, and while it's true that after that the album takes a more laid back experimental tone, tracks like "Falling Down" "I'm Outta Time" "To Be Where There's Life" and "High Horse Lady" easily impress more than anything off the last album except maybe "Idle" but that was the best song on DBTT and was a massive hit for them.
Best Oasis album since MG, and I don't put much over BHN.
9/10 for me this album.
By the way, anyone who just listens to the album once and declares they don't like it, do what your supposed to to with music and play it more than once, then you'll see how amazing it is.

You seem to share my views on Be here now being a great album and DBTT not being, so I reckon now DOYS would be worth buying. What do you make of Heathen Chemistry?
I thought it was a great album, that just didn't have enough to it. Loads of good songs but too short and lacking any epics.

Oh no, you misunderstood me, I enjoyed a few tracks on DBTT (Lyla, Turn Up The Sun, Part Of The Queue) but as an "album" it fell short, whereas Dig Out Your Soul is an "album" rather than a singles collection if you know what I mean, although it is an album of two halves, with the louder, rockier songs at the start, with the chilled out, experimental songs toward the end.
Heathen Chemistry, to this day, baffles me as to why people slag it off, sure, it had it's usual Oasis fillers on it (Force Of Nature, Hung In A Bad Place, Better Man), but what was good on it was pretty good, I mean, fucking hell, it's got Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Songbird and Hindu Times on it, great tunes in themselves.
Any how, if you wanna know if it's worth buying or not, listen to it on Oasis Myspace, it's all up on their, that way if you hate it you don't waste your money :).

Reflecting on almost 15 years of success with Oasis, Noel Gallagher, despite a £14m fortune, insists he is still working class. But, he tells John Meagher, the 'baggage' of kids and ex-wives has made him grow up.
'The boredom is driving me f***ing mad." Right now, Noel Gallagher is supposed to be in the middle of a world tour. Instead -- thanks to an on-stage attack by a fan in Toronto on September 7 - he is recuperating at his London home. And he's not happy about it.
"There's always some f***ing calamity that happens to us on the road, and I'm just glad we got it out of the way quickly. I just didn't see this one coming." Quite literally, as it turns out. YouTube footage shows the intruder running up behind the guitarist, pushing him to the ground. He sustained broken ribs. His attacker was subsequently arrested.
Today, in his management company's office near Paddington, London, he looks pale and drawn - something he puts down to being the father of an 18-month-old son, Donovan.
The last thing he expected to be doing a week before the release of Oasis's seventh album was babysitting.
"I just can't get my head around the fact that we still aren't on the road," he says. "I'm waiting for the doctor to give me the all-clear for the UK dates, but it should be fine. I'll go out of my f***ing mind if I can't play them."
The British arena tour kicks off in Liverpool on Tuesday and includes two sold-out dates at Belfast's Odyssey Arena at the end of this month, will give fans an opportunity to hear the new songs for the first time.
The album, Dig Out Your Soul, could only have been made by Oasis and there are plenty of moments on it that are likely to sound incendiary live. But after something of a creative upswing with their last offering, 2005's Don't Believe The Truth, this collection is considerably less inspired.
Tellingly, Noel - once Oasis's sole songwriter has penned roughly half the tracks - with the remainder contributed by brother Liam, guitarist Gem Archer and bassist Andy Bell.
"People ask my why I don't write all the songs any more and I say, 'What's the point of being in a band if I write all the songs?' I might as well go solo if that's the case."
Noel wrote everything on the band's milestone 1994 debut Definitely Maybe - as well as fantastic b-sides like The Masterplan and Acquiesce. It was a prolific time - and a far cry from today's relatively spartan output.
"When I was writing those songs, I was 26 or 27. Everything I had was in an adidas holdall - that was my life. The older you get, the more baggage you get - kids, ex-wives. I've started to write quite frequently again, but not as much as back then. Who knows? Why hasn't Paul McCartney written a good song in a hundred f***ing years?"
What does he say to those who suggest that he writes the best songs and Liam should stick to his frontman duties? "I'd congratulate them on their taste. I like Gem and Andy's songs. I genuinely like what they do - and Liam as well. If I didn't, they wouldn't be on the album."
Yet, there were a pair of his own compositions that got squeezed out. "They were left off because of Liam ... " he trails off. "F*** knows what happened, but he got a bit emotional one day and stormed off and the songs got shelved. They'll be on the next one.
"It wouldn't be an Oasis album if there wasn't a point where Liam decided he didn't want to be in the band any more. Oh, and there was an incident when some f***ing lunatic turned up at the studio saying he'd written all the songs that we hadn't yet recorded. The police had to be called -- he threatened to kill us, although not Liam funnily enough."
The lyrics feature a myriad of references to The Beatles -- no surprises there, then -- and snatches of a John Lennon interview conducted by the BBC shortly before his death. The album was recorded in Abbey Road, the first time the band have used the fabled studio since their bloated 1997 album Be Here Now.
"It wasn't like we went to Abbey Road to rekindle our f***ing mojo," he says. "The ghost of John Lennon -- Liam and Gem feel it, but I f***ing don't. I don't believe in ghosts. Sometimes, the pair of them act like f***ing cats producing their own LSD -- and I'm a bigger Beatles fan than either of them."
There's a psychedelic, druggy feel to some of the songs but Noel says the days of "snorting my own body weight in cocaine" are over. "Haven't touched any class A drugs since 1998. I did it all, I enjoyed some of it and I decided I didn't need it any more. But if somebody invented a new drug ... yeah, I'd be having some of that. I'm a 41-year-old father-of-two - those days of a three-day bender are over for me."
He has little time for the much-publicised benders of Pete Doherty et al. "They're attention seekers. Doherty and Amy Winehouse romanticise about being dirty little f***ing street urchins carrying guitars around with them and living some kind of poetic f***ing torture.
"We're different, Oasis - we're working class. I would never be seen out with dirty fingernails or the same clothes for three days because the working class have pride. And you'll find those two are middle class who are rebelling against their mam and dad."
Suggestions that he has left his middle-class days long ago for the cosseted life of the London multimillionaire are given short thrift. "My credentials are impeccable. I came from f*** all. I didn't get a head start in life. When I was growing up in Manchester there was nothing - no jobs of any description. You couldn't even be a f***ing drug dealer because there were no drugs.
"In monetary terms, I'm not working class. It's a state of mind. It's in here" - he points to his heart - "the fact that we're still doing it and still take pride in it is working class. We haven't forgotten where we've come from."
He retains a fascination with the U2 machine, its size and longevity. "For about eight months, we were as big as them," he says. "But we didn't do the sort of things that keep you that big. For instance, we never played the game in America and we would have been really huge if we had. But I don't regret it - it's too f***ing corporate over there.
"Right at the height of it all, the record company booked us on David Letterman the night after we did a gig and we're going, 'Why do we have to do it the night after - why can't we do it the night before?' They said it couldn't be moved and we said we wouldn't do it - because we would still be out on the piss. They couldn't believe it. That's the way that we are as people."
He says he has no regrets. "If we were to do it all again, I don't think we would do anything differently.
"We wanted to enjoy it - it's hard work being in the biggest band on the world."
And, he adds, with a wicked grin on his face: "I'm not greedy -- £14m in the bank will do me just nicely."
Noel on..
- Arctic Monkeys: "[Frontman Alex Turner] is a scruffy little bollocks, but I thought their first album was good. The real test for it will be how many bands in the future will say they formed after being inspired by that album. Think of all the bands that started because of hearing us for the first time."
- Oasis's 1994 debut, Definitely Maybe: "It's a milestone up there with the Sex Pistols' album. I don't sit down and listen to it now, but when I hear something from it on the radio, I think it's f***ing brilliant. But you know, it almost feels that I didn't write it. People love it to the point now where it's seen as the best f***ing thing since the resurrection."
- His Irish roots: "It's like that Morrissey song, Irish Blood, English Heart. I have no English blood in me at all. I go over as much as I can - I take my daughter [Anais] over and when my son is old enough, I'll take him too. I love the smell of the place -- brings me back to my youth. Bought my mam a house in Mayo - it's somewhere they can all get together."
- His admiration for Coldplay: "I listen to Violet Hill and it's like The Beatles. I just think Chris Martin is a great songwriter. Liam f***ing hates them -- thinks their stuff sounds like Annie Lennox, but Liam can be a f***ing idiot sometimes."
- U2: "I f***king love U2 and I always have done -- I love the size of that band. Whether you like them or not, you cannot deny that U2 have written some great f***ing songs. People will not accept that Bono is sincere -- in this cynical age, they think he's really just a c***. But he's not."
- Tom Chaplin of Keane: "He's going on and on about being taken out of his comfort zone when making his new album. What the f*** does that mean? Why would you want to be uncomfortable when making an album? No matter what direction Keane take, it doesn't matter -- they'll still be shit."
- The art of songwriting: "When I pick up a guitar and I sit down to write a song I don't sit there and think, 'What do I really want to say?' I don't have anything to say to the world. I don't give a f*** about the world or anybody in it. I just write songs and they come from a place of truth to me and that's it."
- Critics: "They always say we're writing the same stuff. What does that mean? That I'm writing Live Forever again with different lyrics? They can't understand that a band like Oasis are so successful and can sell out Wembley Stadium ... I don't consider myself to be an artist. I don't make music for the people at the Guardian."
- His epitaph: "Here lies Noel Gallagher -- who should have f***ing done that solo record."

Resisted the leak and bought the CD/DVD version today. Well worth the wait, I love it. It's easily their best album since 'Be Here Now' in 1997. Whether it's better will take a lot more listening but I suspect it comes in just behind, which is no disgrace. Unfortunately the last 3 songs let it down overall (typically the ones not written by Noel). If those 3 had instead been 'Boy With The Blues' (released on the bonus disc which comes in the "deluxe boxset") and polished versions of the as yet unreleased 'Stop The Clocks' and 'I Wanna Live in a Dream In My Record Machine' then it would have been a up their with the first 2 albums IMO. Favourites from the first listen are 'Bag I 'The Turning' and 'I'm Outta Time.'

Oasis' Liam Gallagher has spoken about his brother and bandmate Noel Gallagher being attacked in Toronto last month.
Noel Gallagher was attacked on stage on September 7, resulting in the guitarist sustaining rib injuries that forced Oasis to cancel a slew of gigs.
Oasis kicked off their UK tour in Liverpool last night (October 7).
"It's not nice when you look down and see your brother on the deck," he told Sky News before the show, referring to the assault on Noel. "If it was up to me, I'd have cut his [the attacker's] dick off and made him eat it."
Liam went on to say that the band had no plans to wind down following the release of their seventh album, 'Dig Out Your Soul', which came out on Monday (October 6).
"We'll carry on as long as we want to carry on," he said. "There's good music out there to be wrote and we're the ones to write it."

For the most part I like 'Dig Out Your Soul.'
I do think it would have been much stronger, and would have benefited w/'Stop the Clocks' and 'I Wanna live a Dream' IMO.
Despite that, It doesn't change the fact that Noel Gallagher is a genius songwriter.
Anyway..."I'm Outta Time," "Shock of the Lightning," "Ain't Got Nothing," "The Turning," and "Falling Down" are really good sounding tracks.

Why America Needs Oasis
Coldplay may be bigger, but Chris Martin can't touch the Gallaghers when it comes to being a rock star, says SPIN's David Marchese.
Following their mega-successful debut double shot of 1994’s Definitely Maybe and 1995’s (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, Oasis were poised to rule the rock game. But 1997’s underwhelming Be Here Now put an end to that.
Ever since, the band has been stuck in rock'n'roll Triple-A. Not quite major leaguers on par with Coldplay, the Chili Peppers, or Radiohead, but able to fill arenas nonetheless. And even though the new Dig Out Your Soul is a welcome return to the supersonic guitars and straightforward songwriting of those early albums, Oasis’s cultural moment has passed. The brothers Gallagher won’t be getting called back to the bigs anytime soon.
But for sheer entertainment value, they deserve better. It doesn’t matter that Noel has no longer got a multiplatinum platform, he still talks like everyone’s listening, whether that means beefing with Jay-Z or ragging on Radiohead.
I love it.
And Liam is no quote slouch either. Take, for example, the following Wildean zinger, leveled at the fool who tackled Noel in Toronto: “If it were up to me, I’d have cut his dick off and made him eat it.” Not exactly something Chris Martin would say. Come to think of it, what is something Chris Martin would say? Only Gwyneth knows for sure.
And that’s why we need Oasis. Slagging people in the press, public intra-band squabbling, releasing albums of tunefully kickass guitar rock, speaking in a British accent -- this is what rock stars are supposed to do! Now, it just so happens that rock stars are a little like dinosaurs these days, but guess what? Dinosaurs are awesome.

i've just seen a few songs of their wembley arena gig this year on mtv, and i reeeaally liked it! god, that half-accoustic version of don't look back in anger was amazing. i came to the conclusion that noel's live voice is even better than on cd :nice: whereas liam's voice.... haha, well, i've heard him sing worse, it was okay, really. and he's liam, so that's enough for me anyway.
it was ace, looking forward to see them again in january.

Oasis' Noel Gallagher has responded to comments made by Simply Red's Mick Hucknall about Manchester, saying his opinion is "irrelevant".
In an interview Hucknall had referred to comedian Harry Enfield's TV sketch in which actress Kathy Burke visits the city, home of Liam and Noel Gallagher, and comes back with a Liam-esque swagger. He suggested that the band had contributed to people holding negative stereotypes of Mancunians.
Noel delivered an open letter to The Sun, slamming Hucknell.
"You still going?" he wrote. "The last time I heard of you, Fanta-pants, you were getting slung out of Knebworth for being shit and fat. What you have to say about Manchester and its righteous natives is irrelevant as you are from Warrington."

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has called his former rival Damon Albarn a "great artist".
The star, embroiled in a bitter war of words with the Blur frontman during the 1990s, has finally laid their feud to rest in an interview with The Guardian, branding it "pathetic".
Of the feud, which centred on the chart battle between their rival singles 'Roll With It' and 'Country House', Gallagher said: "Looking back now that fight's all so pathetic over two really quite shit pop songs. He's a great artist.
"He's different from me. I'm not an artist – for me, it just comes out. He does Chinese operas and that kind of thing, he's got more strings to his bow than I'll ever have."
However, asked whether the pair got on, he admitted: "There's always been something between me and him, and I don't know what it is."

Oh yeah - remind me, oasis are a band for..... the working class, right? Thats what they modelled themselves on in the 90's.
Now how are the working class going to appreciate a couple of extra tracks in a 50 quid box set exactly?
I just thought it was a bit unfair, and I am not really digging the way music is released lately with the larger, more commercial bands.

It sure does. The Oasis curse has struck yet again. Last time they toured here the Duesseldorf gig was rescheduled because Liam lost some of his teeth in a fight in a Munich nightclub, and I was unable to go because I was already going to another concert on the new date. History has now repeated itself.

Noel's 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere' (23/03/09)
Before I get off, tell me what you think of this.. There's been a fan following me around since I got here carrying a sign that says, in fluorescent lettering, NOEL OR DIE! Now given the fact that the Japanese have a certain way with the English, I'm still not quite sure what it means. NOEL OR DIE!??
Noel's 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere' (24/03/09)
That girl was waiting for me at the airport. With the sign. "NOEL OR DIE". What does it mean!? I did try and ask her, sadly all she was interested in was a bloody picture. I then used the tried and tested English method for international communication; I asked her really ..slowly.
"WHAT ...DOES ...IT ...MEAN?"
She looked at me like The Mighty I looks at me when I'm asking him something.
"THE SIGN ...WHAT ...DOES ...IT ...MEAN?"
She replied very slowly with two simple words.
"SIGN? ...YES"
That's got to the bottom of that then, eh? I'm glad I AM Noel though. Wouldn't want to die, or anything.

Oasis To Take Five-Year Break
Noel Gallagher plots a solo album and calls his brother Liam "rude, arrogant, intimidating, and lazy."
Noel Gallagher appreciates your business, but he'd like you to know that the current wait time for a new Oasis album is approximately five years.
"By the time we make another record we'll be five years older," he told Q Magazine.
Why the wait? Well, the Britpop frontman seems keener than ever to follow through on his solo album plans. Plus, he's lacking motivation to write new Oasis material.
"Even before the end of making each Oasis album, I've always started writing the next one, and I haven't this time," he said. "I don't
want to force it."
Which is not to say that he's lacking tunes. "I've got a lot of songs lying around and some of them are really great," he said. "But they're not Oasis songs. They're going to sit there and do nothing, so hopefully at the end of this tour I'm going to go and do something for myself."
Noel's brother, Oasis singer Liam, might also have something to do with the musical selfishness, as their notoriously contentious relationship shows no signs of easing. Noel gives us an idea of the family dynamic: "He's never seen my little lad [son], just pictures," he said. "To a stranger it sounds ludicrous, but you wouldn't have him in the house if he spoke to you the way he speaks to me and my family."
And what sort of sweet words does Noel use to describe his bro? "He's rude, arrogant, intimidating, and lazy. He's the angriest man you'll ever meet. He's like a man with a fork in a world of soup."
liam is really a ****....

The video is referring to Princess Dianna, I think its about how she was apparently using drugs and doing the things in the video and it was covered up by the royal family. The bit at the end when they refuse to shake her hand I think is cause they know that shes fake. When oasis first broke out they visited buckingham palace and maybe its a comment on how royality are fake. imo. great video! also noel apparently used drugs in the queens bathroom haha.

Just like to state the obvious fact that Oasis piss all over the "sacred" Radiohead. They've achieved more in 1 song than Radiohead have done in a whole career. FACT!

I prefer Oasis over Radiohead. I dont go ranting about Oasis over every thread in this forum also, unlike others!
Loved your comment about briggins in another thread. I still laugh at it now..."I dont come here to wank all over Radiohead. You're so far up that slit eyed ****'s ass you can see out his mouth'. - Pure Gold.

Interesting to see only 6 people believe Don't Believe The Truth is their best album. It's fantastic and is a lovely album stripped down on production compared to their other albums. Don't believe what those gaybos say on the Radiohead side where they say Oasis are just Beatles imitators and who have just made the same 7 records

lol, as if no radiohead fan ever comes near this thread. I downloaded the Masterplan C.D. off a whim before a trip I took several weeks ago. Talk Tonight, Rocking Chair, and the title track really stood out.

Oasis announce refund details for Manchester show
Concert-goers must submit refund form and original tickets
Oasis have announced refund details for their show last night (June 4) at Manchester's Heaton Park, which saw the band leave the stage twice due to technical difficulties.
The Gallaghers promised to give fans at the 70,000-capacity venue their money back, even though they ultimately returned to complete a 23-song set and played past curfew.
The band have asked concert-goers to print out, complete and sign a form available on their website, and mail it in along with their original tickets by June 12 in order to receive a refund of £38.30, which they say will be paid within 42 days of the deadline.

oh i love these guys. when i was 15 i was sure i was gonna get married to noel gallagher :D
instead of a proposal ring all i got is a little wink from noel back in 2002. that's enough for me ;]
i always thought liam's a bit.. umm...how to say, a bit full of himself, but he's a damn good lead singer.
i can't decide which is my favorite album of theirs. gotta be whats the story morning glory. or maybe not. i dunno. i love dig out your soul a lot too. this album kind of got be back into oasis. i don't think i've listened to heathen chemistry and don't believe the truth more than 10 times altogether. but the latest album's great.

Kasabian were brilliant
they are now for me 3rd best band in world behind Oasis and u2
Enemy were ok - cant stand Tom Clarke though
Twisted Wheel had a couple of good tunes
Free Peace were nothing special
I got there at 2pm, near the front. First time in the pit, from now on there is no where else to go as it is the place to be. Legs were in so much pain afterwards though, 9 and a half hours standing!

both those tracks could and should have been on DOYS
Hopw there is a 4th song from the album as they are still touring and it can do no harm
to be where theres life - the first non-gallagher single would be a great choice
then hopefully new LP in 2010

Nope. It wont be a single. Noel and Gem said before there were no more singles until the next album. Plus its only a promo, doesn't mean anything.

I sometimes think that Oasis have the shittest management team
1) why no singles are properly released in Oceania?
2) Same for USA
3) Make releases simultaneous with tours i.e South America should have had a big single when they were there
4) Why have these crappy download EP's which cant chart?
5) A few more adverts to promote album would be nice
6) Why are top songs like Boy with Blues only on some expensive box set (obviously for the money), but they could be big hits
7) A 4th single will do no harm
The world needs Oasis

1) I know, I have to buy them from oasisinet.com shop, costs me more! Although, TSOTL is physically released, there are still some on shelves of stores.
2) No idea. Annoying considering DOYS charted well there.
3) Because management are idiots.
4) Nobody likes remixes. Physical singles with B sides PLEASE OASIS
5) TV ads? They had Russel Brand doing them over in the UK....
6) Yeah thats annoying. Just promotes piracy.
7) Only if they put a proper one out. It's just not an album of 'singles' like others have been..
I feel your frustration.

because they dont care about charting singles and big hits, even right at/just after their commercial peak they only released 3 UK singles from Be Here Now. Just enjoy the music and stop worrying about where it charts, it's not like they need more chart success anyway, not many British bands can claim every one of their studio albums has got to number 1. And very few rock bands can claim to have had 8 number 1 singles.

Liam and Noel Gallagher No Longer Speak To Each Other
The 36 year-old the NME: "He doesn't like me and I don't like him, that's it. He hasn't told me what he thinks of anything this year. We've got nothing to say to each other at the moment... The only time I see him is onstage and we're a little bit busy (at) that time to be fucking scratching each other."
According to Liam it was an argument at an airport concerning a support band that strained the relationship even further, "I think it might have been about some fucking shit support band he wanted to play with us and he didn't ask my permission.”
He concluded, “So we had a fucking ding-dong in the airport and I think he started crying then. That was it - doesn't travel with me anymore... For the first time in my life, I haven't got a fucking clue what's going on with Oasis. It's pretty confusing but I'm not going to freak out about it."
Noel recently took aim at Liam after the vocalist reportedly stormed of stage at London's Roundhouse venue whilst playing the iTunes festival, saying his younger brother was “probably on his man period".
The Britpop survivors are set to headline the V Festival this coming weekend which takes place in Staffordshire and Chelmsford.

Your right. Liam Gallagher is probably the nicest guy to meet in the world. I heard a story, not a word of a lie, where he was chatting to 2 old ladies in the street. One of the old ladies didn't know who he was. He also introduced his children to a fan in a shop and got into a discussion with him, and all he was expecting was an autograph. Seriously in real life the guys a softie and a likeable if eccentric one in that.

Last concert in Milan next month before calling it a day?
I doubt it considering Noel has apparently demoed the next album. Who would call it a day when such stunners like Falling Down etc are still being made? Plus they still consistently make good albums. I think if Noel was able to put his arse into it and hire a decent producer and stop leaving incredible songs off albums then they'll have something to match Morning Glory and Definately Maybe. Noel Gallagher is undoubtedly the best songwriter in Britain and he knows if he makes an effort then Oasis can blow the critics away again, no doubt about it.

He might be making great songs, but if he and Liam ain't on speaking terms, he might do a 'solo' album.
