i first found out about cranberries by that series of fearless books by francine pascal. they're kinda cool, but i don't own any cds by them or anything.
me neither. i thought the newest one out didnt do any good and they never got any recognition, so i never attempted to buy it.

I wanted to go them see live at the Point, but I had to work. I like the way she sings tho. They're from Limerick, Dolores O'Riordan has a really strong dialect. She's famous of keeping it while singing. http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung/musik/musik004.gif

yeah i like that about her too - makes the songs really unique 8)it's like she wants people to hear her voice stand out, but of course does it with no effort, and ends up sounding great.
i like the music more than her voice though.

I listen to them now purely for nostalgia. My best friend and I used to sing Linger at the top of our lungs in my basement when we were younger. It was great. It's particularly great b/c my best friend is a guy so hearing him trying to sing like Dolores was quite funny.

You may hear something familiar about Arkitekt: the trademark ringing guitars and fluid melodies bear the unmistakable imprint of guitarist Noel Hogan's years with one of the world's most successful bands, The Cranberries, combined with the production and mixing skills of one Mr. Bernard Butler. Arkitekt's new music sounds fresh and different too, from Noel Hogan's subtle electronic touches and inventive programming, to the haunting and beautiful voice of front-man and co-writer Richard Walters.

South America, 4 days to go, freaking jealous.
A friend of mine is attending the first gig on the 26th... :freak:
That'll be crazy, especially in Brazil, last time (at Dol's concert in 2007), the members of the Brazilian forum all had red balloons (cf. WUASTC's cover), was amazing.
Can't bloody wait until the 1st of March... or maybe I can actually, cause I still can't believe I'll see the Crans :D
