This is painful because in my ideal world I'd put in a tie vote for Elliott and Sufjan....but I don't think Nik's going to go for that, so I'll say that Elliott Smith edges out Sufjan Stevens, BUT JUST BY A HAIR. I actually like all these bands/artists, so it's tough......but this is how the cookie crumbles:
