In England we have the least bank holidays of the entire EU (8 in a year) :(, the next bank holiday is at the end of the month.

And the British Army have gone on holiday because it's summer and they thought they would go on holiday leaving some soldiers who have been naughty over the year guarding the country.

8 in the year? That's not pretty much! Well people in North Germany also have less bank holidays than e.g. in Bavaria. It depends on the federal state you live... Very unfair everytime! :veryangry2:

Lol the third one! :lol: I always had the excuse that the last days were too hot to go jogging. This day it wasn't, but I was just too lazy to do it. It's sad, but I did a ride with my bike instead and visited my grandma.

I think now it's important to find the reasons why they don't want you to go to England. Is it the money? Is it maybe the fact that they are worried about you going to a foreign country?

You have to do what's best for you. You shouldn't pass up an opportunity like this, as it will probably never come up again and you'll almost certainly regret not taking it.;)

I think now it's important to find the reasons why they don't want you to go to England. Is it the money? Is it maybe the fact that they are worried about you going to a foreign country?

my grandmother called me up this morning and told me that the reasons my dad gave were: "she should stay here another year, with us, go to the gym and work" - Now let's see the flaws in that: why postpone another year of my education and basically get behind others in a job market that really cannot wait, everyone knows that companies are searching for younger and younger ppl, with good qualifications. so why wait? they staysing with them is probably because their marriage has been shit for the past few years because he travels constantly and leaves my mum alone all the time - but I'm way past the age of being the child that saves marriages... Hell, I'm in the age I should be breaking other peoples marriages!! :laugh4: and the third one, the gym: I haaaaaaaaaaaate going to the gym. I've always hated it. I'm a lazyass, and admit it. he really thinks that after 22 years he is going to change that? :thinking:


And money is not the issue (haha, that sounded so snob!!). It's not an issue because they are not putting a dime of their money on it. My grandmother had set aside the money for my postgrad, so it's not that. And neither is living in another country. I've been country hopping for as long as I can remember, with them, without them, so I can't believe they have a problem specifically with England. I know they hate the fact that I have an ex there, but I don't even talk to him nor hear from him in a very long time, so I'm certainly not going ther because of him.


And My mum... well, her reason is that according to her I'm living in a world out of my reality. whatever that means. My grandma thinks she means to say I want to pull off as a rich kid, such as my cousins, and I'm doing things I can't afford.
Again it's weird for my mum to say that considering I've been working since I was 18, even when I was living with my grandma. I got an internship when I was 19, when it was absolutely uncalled for and have been in the same company for years now. I pay for my credit card, I don't ask her for money, nor I ask my grandmother... like... I do some irresponsible things such as forgetting to pay for my cars insurance, but i was just about to sell it anyways... so, am I living out of my reality?



Gah. I'm so sorry to go on and on like this but sometimes I feel like a monster here in my house... I don't know if I should. I never gave my parents any trouble. Was always good in school, never got into drugs, my nights out dont bother either of them (as my dad is a DJ I started going out at night in a fairly early age, with him, so he knows i'm responsible).

:D Well at the moment I'm more or less unemployed. I decided not to continue work, because I want to study. I still don't know what kind of study and in which city. But all I can do now is to stay calm, to settle back and to wait for post.

Nevertheless I really enjoy my days off. Last week and went to Dublin (Ireland) and it was an incredible journey while next week I'm going to Prague (Czech Republic). :) Travelling is one of my new hobbies and I like to discover other nations. Oh and Coldplay gigs are to follow in Hamburg and Berlin next month! :dance:

Yeah and the Dublin journey turned out to be very cheap! I paid 0 € for the flights Bremen-Dublin + Dublin-Bremen, because Ryanair was too stupid to deduct money from my bank account. :D Lol perhaps they will do it sooner or later, but normally they do it very quickly a few days after booking. I also stayed in my brother's flat so no money to spend for hotels. ;)

I'd like to discover East Europe. I've never been there before. Sometimes I think people still keep the Iron Curtain in their heads... ;)

My weekend was brilliant! Yesterday my friends and I went to a beach party which took place in a club in Bremerhaven. It was sooo amazing! Never had so much fun before. We left the club at 6am this morning and had breakfast at Mc Donalds afterwards. :D

I spent 7 months there in a family. I took care of 3 kids so I don't know if it was holidays :D



This course is to prepare a degree in 2 years.
There're 8 students in my option for 400 students who want to go there :confused:

Well, basically a ton of things are going to start to change. My brother's going to college in a few weeks, I start school again and our school is trying out a new block schedule and we're the first year theyre testing it on. So Im nervous enough about school beginning, Ill be in a lot of hard classes.
On top of it, my roofs of my house are going to be ripped down and replaced and it looks like it'll have to happen right at the beginning of the school year. So I might have to completely empty out my room and live somewhere else for a while until it's finished, all with a ton of schoolwork. Plus I have to decide finally that same first week whether or not Im staying in my band. They wont let me wait any longer. And yesterday I got into a huge fight with my mom and now she wont even talk to me.

So basically in a few weeks Ill have to get used to a newer, harder school system, do all my beginning of the school year work, plus Im starting a new job in 2 weeks. And on top of all that my mom wont talk to me and I might not even be able to live in my own house.

Oh, and my good computer has a virus (Im on the crappy one right now) and my dad said basically it destroyed everything on the computer. That includes school files, stories, iTunes, everything Ive ever saved for the past 16 years is essentially gone.

So it's just one of those days where I want to go somewhere and escape, but I cant go anywhere. Im stuck with nothing to do except think about all this.:disappointed:

You're nervous because of the school. But don't worry. I was expecting things much more serious.
I think the worse is with your mum. I don't know why you fought with her.
But try to talk to her again.
Try to be positive even if it's difficult for you.
And be patient everything will be ok ;)

Yeah, I think the site is going slow for everyone cuz it's slow for me too.

I know I should try to be positive but sometimes even "Fix You" or "Don't Panic" just aren't enough.
