Mostly I've been melting. It's been way too hot over here. Today was the first "normal" day for a few weeks!!

I'm heading over to see Charlton-Man U on 23rd August. First home match of the season!:D

Chelsea are playing the MLS Allstars in Chicago. Barca are playing Club America from Mexico. It's been really hot here, but it's always hot here so you hardly even notice. :P Season openers are always fun. I hope the Manc supporters give the diving Portuguese tosser a fun time. :sneaky:

For the most part. I finished my orientation, so I'm working on my own. My schedule is a bit fucked up because they put me on it after it was made for the month, so I'm working where all the "holes" are. Next month I should be able to get more into a routine and not all this work a day off a day shit.

Maybe Roo and Christina will come to handbags, that would be a lovely opener.

Bored, tired room and dug another hole for another washing line pole today.

And because we have had no rain for 4 weeks, the ground around the back of the shed, after getting rid of the crap we have dumped there over the past couple years and all the overgrown the ground was solid, which was fun digging a hole large enough to put a large spike down to hold a 7 foot long metal pole vertically upright.

Last Saturday after the meeting I wanted to take the last train home, but first there was a delay of 10 minutes, than 20, 30, 40 and finally 45 minutes. One day later I saw on TV that a 3 year old child was killed by the train before mine. It was so horrible and I saw it in every news show.

Yeah there was a "Badeinsel Regatta" event. 2 people on every plastic "island" have to paddle 2km to become first in this tournament. It's always every year at the end of July in Bremen. :)

Well, when I looked for the price of the flight 2 weeks ago it was ~50€ and now it costs 100€. *grr' Anyway, I asked a mate and my brother if they would also like to fly to London. They still can't decide. The price of the room would be cheaper if we're more than one person. But I will check a free room this weekend, that's for sure.

I have to go out of here for a few days, because there is so much to do at work. So I will definitely travel somewhere, but I still don't now where to go.

If I really would book the flights, than I will arrive at London Luton airport at 9.20pm on August 21th (Monday) and I would fly back at 6.15pm on August 25th (Friday). ;)

Starbucks has blamed a rise in the popularity of frozen drinks for disappointing July sales figures.
The firm said July sales missed targets because in the hot weather more chilled drinks, such as Frappuccinos, were ordered which take longer to prepare.

As a result, its sales in stores open more than a year rose by just 4% during the month, below the 6% expected by Wall Street and last year's 7% growth.

The news saw Starbuck's shares fall 9% in after-hours trading on Wednesday.

Starbuck's chief executive Jim Donald said the company was working to solve the problem of the extra time it takes to make frozen drinks compared with standard hot coffees by bringing in extra staff during peak hours.

The firm's chief financial officer added that while it was an issue, "we're working on it, and we're going to get it solved".

Starbucks has blamed a rise in the popularity of frozen drinks for disappointing July sales figures.
The firm said July sales missed targets because in the hot weather more chilled drinks, such as Frappuccinos, were ordered which take longer to prepare.

As a result, its sales in stores open more than a year rose by just 4% during the month, below the 6% expected by Wall Street and last year's 7% growth.

The news saw Starbuck's shares fall 9% in after-hours trading on Wednesday.

Starbuck's chief executive Jim Donald said the company was working to solve the problem of the extra time it takes to make frozen drinks compared with standard hot coffees by bringing in extra staff during peak hours.

Hm, my day was boring! I had to work (which is still stressy), I got a cold because of this terrible weather and that's why I begin to get depressions. It's always the same every year. When I have the feeling that summer is over and days are getting shorter I got it. Last year it was really terrible, but I think my life was responsible for it, because it changed so fast in that time.

It's also sure that I will not going to visit London this month. :( I'm so sad about it, but the flights were suddenly so expensive. Another reason is that no one would accompany me and I don't like travelling alone. So I think about doing day trips to Amsterdam, Hannover and Cologne but I'm not quite sure. It would be great to fly to London a few weeks before Christmas. I did it last year and enjoyed it.

I book my flights at easyjet.de, because it's the only cheap direction from Bremen to London. But the price is raising higher and higher with the time, so it's better and cheaper to book the flights a few months before. Unlickly this time my friends couldn't decide if they would go to London either (and now they didn't...) and I didn't get holidays at work so I could book the flights only 2 weeks before. If I would come to London in December than I will give you a shout! :)

Ah Kara so you're scared about your time at the uni? ^^ Where exactly are you going to study? You can't imagine how jealous I am... I still have to wait 2 years after finishing work. ;)

I called them, they told me they were offering me a place, but I'm still waiting for the papers and forms. They were supposed to arrive today, but my mailbox was empty :( Royal Mail and French Post are so slow when they work together !
