Hey guys, this is freaking me out!! I read on imdb.com AGAIN today Chris and Gwyneth Paltrow are dating since they had been seen cuddling in London!! This can't be true, right?! I mean, there have been so many rumors all the time - why should we believe that now? But I've heard about that so many times now - it makes me insecure... :? What do you think?
I've actually heard Chris denying that nasty, awful and sweat-causing rumour on television. I think he's to sweet to lie about something like that ,so they can't be dating...But if they are I'll . We'll just get rid of her! :D  How does that sound to you? Just for the record, isn't Gwyneth dating that Spanish heir-to-the-throne bloke?

You mean Prince Felipe of Spain?! That is another rumor. And I bet it is not true. I've read twice that Gwyneth and Chris were cuddling in a club in London so there MUST be some truth to it. But anyway, we'll know in the end. And yeah, if it is true, let's get rid of her!!! Yay!

I was hoping Chris would hook up with Rachel Weisz. Since he keeps saying that he fancies her, and she seems like a nice girl for good boy Chris! I think Miss Paltrow might be a bit too "Hollywood" for "normal" Chris, but as you guys said, he can see whoever he wants!
yeah i agree....and still i cant imagine it or i cant picture them two being together.

like a ghost into the fog
where no-one notices the contrast of white on white
and in between the moon and you
the angels get a better view
of the crumbling difference between wrong and right
i walk between the air
through myself and back again
where? i dont know
she said shes dying
through the door i hear her crying
why? i dont know

Hello. Don't be sad and melancholy...we live in a beautiful world remember.
I may act happy most of the time but you probably remember that only 2months ago my partner of 3 years suddenly said he didn't love me anymore and moved out next day and left me lonely, very lonely! But you lot keep me company, so thanks for that. We all have reason to be sad but I bet we all have reasons to be happy too! I am okay being alone for right now because i am learning to be myself again and and not one half of a couple. It's wierd because we share a lot of friends and it's difficult that way because we go to the same places etc but I know that there is "the one" out there for me (somewhere) and i may be 30-odd by the time I meet him but isn't that worth waiting for! :!: :?:
Woh. I told you my life story in a couple of paragraphs. Sorry about that. I must have needed to get that out today.
Katharina
05-11-2002, 11:44 AM
Hello Tracy!
I like it when people tell their stories! I am sorry your relationship didn't work out. But it's good to hear you're OK now and you still have a positive attitude! Never stop believing in finding your one true love! I tell that to myself all the time. And remember: "Everything's not lost". I know it's a melancholy phase I am in right now and of course it'll get better soon. But now it is just frustrating and disillusioned... But then I listen to my favorite music and things start to brighten a bit... 8)
i think i listen and quote music that can be sad because it allows me to excercise and share feelings that too often stay locked up inside and hurt :( so even though it makes me sad, its a means to become happy again which is good :) and i love you all for being here and its the most special community ive found in a long time :D

Katharina, you are very kind. I was actually thinking of editing that and making it into something less indepth about my "actual" life. I would never put something like that on the official board but the people on this board are so much friendlier. Thanks everyone. We're really not alone are we after all:D
Katharina

Coming back to Chris: I have just heard on tv he announced he's actually dating Gwyneth Paltrow! They were seen leaving his apartment in London and he shouted to the paparazzi-crowd: "Hey, leave us alone! We have only been together for two days now..."
GREAT! Shattering dreams all over the place. I've always hoped he'd fall for a normal sweet girl, not for a super-star. Just too bad... :(

Everyone is very kind, and open minded here. And we all respect each other's opinion. Unlike the official board at the moment. Has anyone been following how many arguments have been going on? Many and it's really ridiculous.
And Gwynyth thing, well from what I understand she is a huge bitch but I'd like to think that Chris has good taste and she can't be all that bad. As long as he is happy, and still makes good music :)
well it never says they're going out...well not now at least
Martin explained: "I'm proud to be with someone who's very nice and very beautiful but she's not my girlfriend at the moment...."

I must admit the official board has been really nasty recently and if badly drawn boy and BRMC had not stopped arguing soon I think I would have just stopped visiting the MB there and all this crap about Gwyneth and sticking pins in voodoo dolls is just awful!!! You know can 2 people not be happy together without all this crap. The reason they got together was because of all the hype about them dating.. it made them want to meet to see what all the fuss is about!! :D
paulabenson
06-11-2002, 11:39 AM

I don't like the official board. I've only posted there twice cause it's way too crowded and unpersonal! And I agree - it is plain stupid to start hating Gwyneth only because Chris likes her! What bothers me is that it's so easy for those celebs to get in touch with each other whereas we 'normal' people can only dream of that. If they 'click' and Chris is happy with her - okay. Good for him! 8)
okay guys?" whats going on with them? and in which club have the two been seen?
um did you look at the site sweet one put up...maybe that would help you
paulabenson
07-11-2002, 03:13 PM
I went to the site ' sweet one' posted and after reading it I felt really MEAN. .........not 'cos of Gwyn.....(obviously) but because poor Chris had to justify himself to the WHOLE world and explain wot had happened or rather NOT happened, how he felt etc etc.......I think it's outragious !He's entitled to have a life.......poor sod.....I feel like writing to him and telling him to tell everyone to mind their own business :!: The pressure's of celebrity.....eh? Then I thought it's so typical of him to take time out and explain things and be all humble and shit! Suddenly it all became blindingly clear again why I adore him

Katharina
16-11-2002, 12:20 AM
Yeah, that pretty much pisses me off, too! That's why I don't want Chris to get involved with her. Most of those Hollywood people (there are exeptions...) are just so focused on themselves and their kind - they wouldn't consider being together with someone "mortal". And I don't want her to drag him down into this awful circle. That sounds dramatic now, but I just don't like the fact the media always try to make us 'normal' people look less valuable than those celebrities! That is such crap!!
yeah thats exactly how i feel too.
Katharina

Katharina
16-11-2002, 07:56 AM
Then I am not the only one...
yeah it just makes me angry.....why cant they just find a regular person to be with forever.....if they decide to be with someone else who is famous then there is just no chance they have the press following them around and usually its not meant to last....
Katharina
16-11-2002, 08:04 AM
Exactly! So it's their own fault they are being chased by the press. I wouldn't mind him going out with a nice sweet normal person, but a Hollywood star?? Puhlease! And I don't think she is that beautiful. I mean she is way too skinny anyway... :?
well i do think she is a beautiful person and yeah she is skinny......but thats the only reason why she's in the position she is now. because of those two reasons
hopefully chris is looking past that and maybe he sees something thats better but i dont know....i still think if they are together it wont last....well i can bet on that, and be positive it wont work out.
Katharina
16-11-2002, 08:12 AM
Beauty is a very relative matter. And it doesn't really make a difference anyway. I am sure he doesn't fancy her due to her beauty alone. Not Chris. But well, we'll see how it develops. Maybe it'll be over sooner than we think. Hopefully...
yeah hopefully

Gwyneth is a Coldplay fan, thats how she met Chris at one of their US gigs. Then she was spotted at the Wembley show i think it was. He dedicated "In My Place" to her(which i thought was sweet). In fairness to Gwyneth, she has just recently lost her father. Unfortunately he died on her birthday and she has been spending a lot of time with her family and friends for comfort. I think some of the peeps on the official board have been very cruel towards her, and i wish her and Chris all the best for the future.
yeah we're nice enough not to say anything bad to anyone thats had something bad to them like that.
and we also said good luck to them and as long as chris is happy we're fine.
its just fun to talk about

off topic of this craziness..so gwyneth has reportedly said that Chris is "the love of her life"...Silly boy, doesn't he see he's just gonna get his heart stomped on in the end..or some weird VD...most of those hollywood ladies certainly have been around the block! (no exception here!)
Besides, Gwyneth is just Madonna's little lap dog..Madonna got herself a British man, and now Gwynnie wants one..Typical.

It's just that those hollywood actresses can get whatever they want. I don't know if her movie roles necessarily personify her..I don't really know much about her, but it just takes away from the whole innocence of things, you know? Now you know for sure that they're really big :)!

i think i only saw her in: Shakespeare in love and Great expectations... but i don't hate she or stuff like this, i appreciate her a lot because is one of the only english people that really speaks good spanish (she and Viggo Mortensen), i listened her talking in spanish and she is very good. and when she is interviewed here by the press about any of ther films she always talk in spanish, that's cool.
and you know when she came here to Talavera, because she was named 'adoptive daugther' of Talavera (a city in Spain near Toledo, where she used to come when she was a teen to meet a penpal every summer) she even came here with Chris, that's cool.

For Gwyneth Paltrow, hopping into the director's chair was an opportunity to support women in film. By Felicia R. Lee.
Gwyneth Paltrow yelled "Cut!" as if her life depended on it. Sipping hot green tea on one of the hottest days of the year, standing in a meandering Brooklyn apartment that had been transformed into a movie set, Paltrow was directing her first film, Dealbreakers, a short about the dubious charms of dating, with no small measure of authority.
At one point, standing at the monitor in a pink camisole that said "Mrs Martin" (she is married to Chris Martin, lead singer of rock group Coldplay), Paltrow suggested a longer camera pan for a shot of Travis, a goofy hippie offering his date some trail mix.
"One more shot, then on to Opera Man," Paltrow said, referring to another bad date in the film, a 10-minute short about those dating moments when you realise it's not going to work, usually because of something your date has said or done.
Such moments of command were occasionally offset by more maternal concerns. Joined on the set by Apple, her 14-month-old daughter, Paltrow looked on in delight as Apple splashed in what had been a bucket of ice for water and soda.
AdvertisementAdvertisement
Paltrow, who splits her time between London and New York, called the film a chance to stretch artistically and to help a good cause.
The short was one of four stories made into movies by an advisory board of female executives and actresses in Hollywood, assembled to further the cause of women in film.
The board chose from among 4000 fact-based 750-word essays about life-changing events submitted to Glamour magazine by its readers earlier this year. Paltrow was the co-writer and co-director of Dealbreakers with Mary Wigmore, a close friend and filmmaker who is Apple's godmother.
The Glamour "reel moments" entries included the usual tales of death and divorce and finding oneself after motherhood, but also played with lighter moments of epiphany, like knowing when a date's number is up.
The set of films will eventually be shown in 25 markets starting in October, and a DVD containing them will also be inserted into the December issue of Glamour.
The magazine will also make a donation to FilmAid International, a charitable organisation that uses film to help communities deal with disasters. In this case, FilmAid will use the money for women in refugee camps in Kenya.
"The brand is about the empowerment of women," Leslie Russo, Glamour's associate publisher said of the magazine's involvement in the project. "Today, with the culture being so celebrity-obsessed, how do we extend that message? How do we support the telling of real women's stories in Hollywood?"
Glamour picked Moxie Pictures, a commercial and feature film production company, to develop the stories, produce the shorts and assemble the advisory board that selected the essays and helped to cast the films.
The board included the actresses Katie Holmes, Lucy Liu and Julianna Margulies, as well as Meryl Poster, the former president of production at Miramax Films; Caroline Kaplan, a vice-president at IFC Entertainment; and Cara Stein, the chief operating officer at the William Morris Agency.
The winning essays were matched with female talent behind and in front of the camera, including, besides Paltrow: Jenny Bicks, the Emmy-winning writer and executive producer of Sex and the City; director Trudy Styler (the miniseries Empire); and actresses Rosario Dawson and Debi Mazar.
Of the three other films, one fixes on a woman's quest to find the right little black dress, while another concerns a woman trusting her instincts on what's missing in her life. The last is about a housewife's accidental encounter with transvestites.
Paltrow said that she and Wigmore were both drawn to the comedic possibilities of Dealbreakers, and structured the film as a faux documentary about the dating adventures of Fran, a 30-year-old New Yorker. They shot the film recently over three long, hot days in New York.
"It's been great," Paltrow said of her first effort at directing. "It's been really interesting to kind of get in here and see that I have an instinct for it.
"I think I'm very sensitive to the actor's perspective," she continued. "Obviously, I've worked on 30 films so I think I've learned a lot about filmmaking through osmosis. I've spent basically 12 years of my life on film sets the whole time."
Paltrow, 32, who won an Academy Award for best actress in 1999 for her role as Viola De Lesseps in Shakespeare in Love, is very much a child of show business. Her father, Bruce Paltrow, who died in 2002, was a producer and director; her mother, Blythe Danner, is an actress. Her brother, Jake, is a director.
"My parents were very discouraging of me going into it," Paltrow said of acting as a career. "I think there was sort of the sense in the '60s still and the early '70s that show business was not as respectable a profession as some others and I think they wanted me to do something more intellectual."
And yet, show business has treated her very well, indeed. There is already buzz about her next film, Proof, due for release later this year. The movie, one of the last projects of the departing co-chairmen of Miramax, Harvey and Bob Weinstein, is based on the Broadway play about a mentally ill University of Chicago mathematician, played by Anthony Hopkins, and his unstable daughter Catherine, played by Paltrow.
Paltrow said she hoped to work again with the Weinsteins, who are starting another production company after they leave Miramax on September 30.
Despite her own star power, she believes the industry has a ways to go when it comes to women. "I think a lot of women writers in Hollywood write from their own experience," she said. "But normally in Hollywood those experiences get so kind of homogenised and put through the studio system that what started as a core idea from somebody's life often gets turned in a movie that you've seen a number of times.
"The men in Hollywood make it hard for women. I really believe that. What it means is that it's kind of like the old-boy industries. It's mostly run by men."
Bicks said that the television landscape had improved for women with the success of Desperate Housewives and Sex and the City.
"It's made a difference in pitching stories about women," Bicks said.
The Glamour project showed a group of talented women that they could handle jobs that some had not done before, Poster said. "I told Gwyneth she could tell people to move here, move there, without coming off as a fussy actress," she joked.
With women now leading the studios at Disney, Universal and Sony, "someone said to me that the male studio head is becoming an endangered species", Poster said.
She contended that the industry is much more female-friendly. Women aren't directing films in large numbers, she said, because it's an all-encompassing job that is not often compatible with the complexity of women's lives.
Still, Paltrow insisted, "it takes women to write short films about women or features about women".
"There's no reason why," she said, "if there's Wedding Crashers for boys, there can't be something really funny yet intelligent for women, that has something to say for women."

The last is about a housewife's accidental encounter with transvestites.
Well that caught MY attention! :o  I'm interested!
Such moments of command were occasionally offset by more maternal concerns. Joined on the set by Apple, her 14-month-old daughter, Paltrow looked on in delight as Apple splashed in what had been a bucket of ice for water and soda.
 Alright, I want to hear one big "AWWWWWWWWWW" Thanks for the article, I'll look out for this! She's right about the entertainment industry and women, too.

Yoga-mad Gwyneth shows Apple the right moves
August 23, 2005
The healthy-living actress, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, has bought a book called 'Little Yoga', which is specially aimed at teaching tots the limb-twisting exercise.
Gwyneth - who is a huge fan of yoga herself - loves the book so much, she has even agreed to provide the voiceover for a DVD version of it.
A source revealed: "It's a sweet little book aimed at getting small children into yoga. Gwyneth bought a copy for Apple and absolutely adored it, so she was keen to help out any way she could
."
The Oscar-winning actress once confessed she relies on yoga and a strict macrobiotic diet to maintain her healthy lifestyle.
The star admitted: "I eat weird health food, exercise and I meditate. I do yoga every day and I no longer eat sugar or wheat.
"Some people think it's weird and extreme, but you have to do something weird and extreme to balance the fact that you're living an extreme life." - Bang Showbiz
