To answer the 6-month old question...
Standard for Shiver (and some others on Parachutes) and '72 Thinlines for pretty much everything else, apart from Daylight (which is a 12-string Rickenbacker).
There ya go :D

You could get a Squier Affiniy Strat (http://www.squierguitars.com/gear/gear.php?partno=0310600) for £119 (1,292.73 Kroner), if all it's going to do is look pretty ;)

I know he used a Supercharged '72 Telecaster for one of the concerts. It's got a nice chunky sound, although I prefer the twang and sparkle of the Gibson 335 he used for In My Place (see it in the video!) :)
Bewildebeast
30-03-2003, 09:55 PM
He uses the '72 for most stuff now (including IMP live). I played one the other day, it's looovvveelyyy http://smilies.crowd9.com/otn/tongue/rryumy.gif

I thought I heard he used a Jazzmaster Tele as well. Could be wrong though.
Telecasters are very nice guitars, Radiohead use a lot of them as well.
Hey matt, what do you think of the DS-1 distortion? I bought one second hand the other month and its made a great addition to my sound rig. Its brillinat for adding tone esp low end.
Bewildebeast
09-11-2003, 02:02 PM
Yup, he has used a Jazzmaster.
From Total Guitar:
"I had the Tele at that point, and I added a Jag. Chris also bought a really nice old Jazzmaster around that time and I started using it, although it's still the Tele you'll hear on most of the tracks on Parachutes: Don't Panic, Everything's Not Lost, Trouble and High Speed. I played the Jag on Yellow and Shiver and the Jazzmaster on Sparks and We Never Change"
Teles are lovely, Jonny Greenwood uses a couple of Tele Plus' with humbuckers in the bridge. I'm pretty sure Ed uses a standard, Thom mainly uses a Tele Custom these days.
I really like the DS-1. I used to have one, but somehow I managed to lose it
