I'm depressed for several years, and I've been seriously trying to make an end to it once and for all.

But when I found out about Coldplay, there was a light. You guys saved me from cutting myself. You guys saved me from "ending" myself. The importance of your music in my life became huge. And it's still. I'm so thankfull for your excistence. You're making all my days better. Now don't become depressed yourself! Please don't. Then I started listening to the albums. I literally fell in love with their music.. and when I was sad I used to listen to Everything's not lost and to Amsterdam...even a thousand times in a day!
Every song is so important for me. Every song tells me something special beyond the words and beyond the music. I don't know why but only Coldplay can make me feel better when I'm really depressed.
Four months ago I lost my brother. He was 18. We were so close..we did everything together..and now he left this hole in my life.
He had to come with me to their concert 3 months ago.
He was not a big fan but he decided to come with me because he knew how much I cared about that concert.
I didn't want to go to the concert without him...but everyone told me that I had to so I went even if I knew it would have been painful, because during every song I would have thought about him..
It was strange because that night listening to their songs comforted and consoled me.
It was like in a dream...Chris voice was so magic..really touching my heart.
Now when I'm sad I listen to Coldplay and I feel a little better...Their music is really helping me during this hard time.
The song Fix you is so special for me. When he says "when you lose something you can't replace, when you love someone but it goes to waste...I will try to fix you"...I really feel they are helping me.

well, i can say im okay now...somewhat!...see what has happened to me is quite long. it all started back in my county. violence emerged in the city i was living. my family started having serious monetary problems. so, we decided to move to Florida. although, it seemed like the end...it was only the begining. i found myself having a lot of difficulty due to language issues, i didnt have any friends, except for my sister and my Family...together we are like one...
after some time, things started to clear up, economy was improving, and i had lots of friends. little did i know, this was just another false impression of happiness.
my little brother had a near death experience when he had a surgery that could have terminated his life...he spent almost two weeks in the hospital, due to having his appendix removed. this procedure is usually very common and simple, but in his case, since it exploded(the appendix) right before it was removed, the waste or whatever the hell that was, was poisoning his whole body.

on january of this year, i found out that my dad had been having an affair for quite sometime...that is the main reason why we moved, to cover it up. i found out when i found a pic of his daughter, who looks just like him. i will never forget the day when i found it...i will never forget how it tore my heart into millions of pieces........now, i live in the corner of sadness, on the boulevard of broken dreams. i feel rejected as though my dad, shunned me away from his life, after we were so close. he was my hero, now he is the reason why my life has been made into hell..... :angry: now my father is long gone...as if he died...
but whenever i hear a coldplay song...the remind me that although i "lost something i cant replace, when i love someone but it goes to waste" everything is not lost!

MAKES me feel. sometimes it is hard, but i can't just shut down. i try every day and will continue.

well, i can say im okay now...somewhat!...see what has happened to me is quite long. it all started back in my county. violence emerged in the city i was living. my family started having serious monetary problems. so, we decided to move to Florida. although, it seemed like the end...it was only the begining. i found myself having a lot of difficulty due to language issues, i didnt have any friends, except for my sister and my Family...together we are like one...
after some time, things started to clear up, economy was improving, and i had lots of friends. little did i know, this was just another false impression of happiness.
my little brother had a near death experience when he had a surgery that could have terminated his life...he spent almost two weeks in the hospital, due to having his appendix removed. this procedure is usually very common and simple, but in his case, since it exploded(the appendix) right before it was removed, the waste or whatever the hell that was, was poisoning his whole body.

on january of this year, i found out that my dad had been having an affair for quite sometime...that is the main reason why we moved, to cover it up. i found out when i found a pic of his daughter, who looks just like him. i will never forget the day when i found it...i will never forget how it tore my heart into millions of pieces........now, i live in the corner of sadness, on the boulevard of broken dreams. i feel rejected as though my dad, shunned me away from his life, after we were so close. he was my hero, now he is the reason why my life has been made into hell..... :angry: now my father is long gone...as if he died...
but whenever i hear a coldplay song...the remind me that although i "lost something i cant replace, when i love someone but it goes to waste" everything is not lost!

This was so weird, had to tell you guys......
I was seriously nervous this morning as i had my 1st ever driving test. I was a total wreck. I was waiting to get picked up and had 5mins before time to go, so thought i'd put on the TV and try to calm down. I turned onto VH2 channel and guess what song was just starting.....Clocks. I just had enough time to watch the whole video and it completley calmed me down....its just the little things like that that make a such big difference to my life everyday.

My story isn't as dramatic as many I've read here, but you all seem to be super nice and supportive, so I thought I'd throw my two cents in as well.

I had always liked music in a vague kind of way, but I never had a group that I could lean on when I was sad or to listen to the lyrics spill out of the song and see how they are true in my life too. Then about a year ago a friend recommended Parachutes to me, so I picked it up at Borders.

It was one of those times when you can tell that a group just sort of clicks with the way you think and the way you view the world. I've always seen Coldplay as sort of a melancholic-but-hopeful type of sound, sad, but not in a depressing or angry way. Just slightly sad at everything around us, but at the same time realizing that its all really beautiful too.

So keep it up Coldplay, keep it up Chris, keep it up Johnny, keep it up Guy, and keep it up Will. Critics tend to be snobby anyway. Keep making the music that means something to you, because we're all listening, and we all care.

She's got a congenital heart condition that means she's ill quite a lot, and her heart often goes out of rhythm and she has to get it shocked back into rhythm, which is what happened lastnight. Except they also found a blood clot so couldnt do it.....its all qute complicated to be honest. It's just getting me down a bit coz its starting to happen quite frequently. But hopefully she'll be out by Sunday/Monday, i really hope so anyways.

Yeah, it could be a week as they have to wait for these drugs to work before she can go home. Hey guys, it's been a while... our computer crashed about two weeks a go, so I've lost all my Coldplay b-sides.. and I'm not in the happiest mood right now, somehow I feel horribly like listening to Hunting High And Low.. :) Damn, I miss that song. Luckily I could save most of my b-sides, most of them were still on my mp3 player... but not all. Crappy computer >_<
