View Full Version : Any Israeli coldplay fans on this site??
green eyes88
20-08-2005, 04:44 PM
Well, i know coldplay are very popular here and they hit the no. 1 spot and stay there for quite a few weeks with almost all their singles. So... i've only seen two other israeli people on this site.. lets unite!! Are there anymore?
Are there any other Jewish people?

22-08-2005, 09:16 PM
there are people there that have the israel flag on their profile but i don't know if they all are israeli or not.. :/
green eyes88
23-08-2005, 09:47 AM
yeah i saw a couple of people with the falg of israel, and one of them was talking about our holidays so i'm guessing he is israeli (he had this avatar of an eye with legs...) and I saw another dude. But neither of them ever get connected....

hippidami

green eyes88
25-08-2005, 06:41 PM
i don't really know what that is...
my mom works at the israeli foreighn office and a friend of hers lived in turkey for 4 years i think, in istanbul... i've never been there, only analtalia, but i heard that the market is great. That u can get really cool stuff for cheap prices
hippidami
25-08-2005, 06:44 PM
ohh yeah I love there too
SAFARADS or Safharads, the Jews who came to Turkey from Spain.U know the queen made them left the country so at the Ottomans time we welcome them:)
so from that time like more than 500 years we live together with jewish people:) ;)
green eyes88
25-08-2005, 07:31 PM
oh yes, in israel there's a cultural division between people who are sfaradis, and people who are eshcenazim... it depends which countries they came from before they did aliyah to israel...
my grandfather came from Iraq, grandmother from Libya, other grandparents from Yugoslavia. So I'm considered sfaradia
hippidami
25-08-2005, 07:37 PM
ohh I see:) my brother went last year to Israel and he loved there:) I think it is the most green country in the desert:)
green eyes88
27-08-2005, 12:22 PM
yes. i guess it is...
people also don't understand that israel is a fully devolped country, and it's actually very devolped in all fields- medice and hi-tech. People come to israel to learn here in med school.. it's just that we are surrounded by less devolped countries. Though i know egypt is also quite devolped- it's just this stereotype about the middle east

because of your religion thing??? i dont know its name, u dont eat for couple of days????
green eyes88
04-10-2005, 10:10 AM
yes... there are 3 holidays in October- Rosh Hashana (which is the jewish new year), and we're on holiday for it now, up untlil wednesday. Then school again on thursday... the week after that there's a 2 day holiday because of yom kippur, that's when we fast for 25 hours. I don't though, cause i'm not really relegious. And the week after that there's a 10 day holiday called Succot. That's when we build this thing, like a small rook from wood and you're suppose to eat there the whole holiday... but again i'm not very relegious so i don't
hippidami
04-10-2005, 11:47 AM
hmm i know the 25 hours thing, my friends(jewish) did that last year, it's very hard:( The other ones; Succot and Rosh Hashana i just learnt that:)

yes me too...
i heard galgalaz just now, they're having the 2005 rank for foreign songs (that aren't in hebrew), I just heard... Fix You got 6th place out of like 100 songs, and Coldplay got best group.. and I'm waiting to see what place Speed of Sound gets, maybe I already missed it, but I find it hard for Fix You to get a better rank than Speed of Sound, cause Speed of Sound was more successful
The Crazy Frog got worse song....
green eyes88
30-12-2005, 12:35 PM
lol.... they change "Bling" to CP Credits heheheheh
green eyes88
30-12-2005, 12:48 PM
oh!! Speed of Sound got second place!! I wich they would've gotten first, that would've been sooo nice. I don't think they ever got so close to the peak... James Blunt got best song for "you're beautiful" :(
I wish Coldplay would come here already... atleast depeche mode are coming, and Kelly Clarkson lol

ive always wanted to get one of a rose on my leg... just because it sounds nice, however, i may think it's nice now but its sorta meaningless, and if i dont think it's nice later it'll just be a pic of a rose on my leg
so i wanna go for something that actually means something to me....
i always wanted to get one on my stomach, but they say since the belly stretched (during pregnancy and gaining weight) than the tattoo can lose it's shape

to me? YES!
here's a little example, one of my best friends fell in love with an arabic girl and they got together.. i told him its a big mistake but he didnt want to listen. anyway, when they got together she basically gave him "Rules" : we are not allowed to hold hands, not allowed to kiss, not allowed to walk TOGETHER in public, not allowed to be in the same picture together and so on.. the guy went to Hungary for a week, found a girl there and came back here begging me to go and tell her its over between them... here's an example of a typical arabic girl :nice: pathetic isnt it?
green eyes88
24-09-2006, 03:30 PM
sounds extreme, hard for me to believe all the girls are like that
it's like a relegious person's approach. Not all the girls are relegious Im sure
when we went to that school in nazerat- i told u about this- el mutran. Well, the guys and girls were together just like in my school- kissing, holding hands, hugging and what not. We had so much fun the night we were there... they definetly were not relegious.

bad things like what?
green eyes88
27-09-2006, 11:54 AM
bad things like what?
mostly from the commanders
they're real shitty... i mean u see a guy that's only a couple of years older than u- he's been through what you're going through and they choose to act like sons of bitches. To treat u like you're nothing just cause they have more power than u.
It sounds horrible to me. Youd think they'd be humane, know that it's something that's hard to go through, but they couldnt care less
my friend does yomiyot- she goes to this place in the morning and goes back home at the end of the day. The place she goes is pretty far- like an hour and a half away. And there are only two buses back- one at 4pm and one at 5pm. And her commander knows this. And so, every day, on purpose- he gives her something to do at 15:50 so she would miss her bus. And stupid things she could do the next day... and she cant do anything about it. She cant complain or talk up to him..
it's a really horrible situation to be in. And think what a huge son of a bitch he is. She gets home everyday at 8pm, and the next day she has to leave at 6am... that's so inhumane it drives me nuts
and she said that the girls with her are real bitches. Only care about themselves, they do what they can to get themselves out of things. If you dont have a strong charachter u could just break down
it really scares me....

after that id probably work alittle, get some money, travel abit- u know- south america and/or thailand/new zealand/australia

יורדים לעיר
as we ppl from jerusalem call it
we just go to the city center
and the night always has the same routine
we first meet at a friends how for a couple of hours
we leave to go downtown at around midnight... go there, walk around for abit.. say hello to all the ppl
and after that we sit at a pub... have coctails and bagels
and nargila of course (u get it for free in the pub where we sit)
we usually change גחל once... after for sitting for a couple of hours we walk around again
i usually eat pizza :P
and then we go home at around 3-4am...
it's always the same!!!
