hello i know somebody put a link here earlier on software that i can use to cut some songs i would like to cut but i cant find it if someone has a link can you post it here or send me a private message with the link or something
Do you mean just getting a few seconds from an MP3? If so I can strongly recommend a program called "Audio Edit Deluxe." I used it the other day to create a Coldplay desktop theme! When I turn my PC on it goes "You're in control is there anywhere you want to go?" Also, when I have an error message it says "A warning sign." Hehe! I only have the program on a 15 day trial but it is so easy to use and it is just what i was looking for. Hope this can be of help!

thanks a lot mate ;) , that helped me a lot!
No problem! I am searching for a completly free one but I am not sure such a thing exists sadly. If conversion is your thing then get a free program called "Switch". It is brilliant.

I use a program called mptrim works great, but if you use the free version you can't edit songs over seven minutes. Only works for mp3 formats though they do offer a wav version.

I use MP3 Trackmaker. It splits and joins mp3s and it's so easy. You just play the song on Winamp and pause it on the time you'd like to split, and the program gives you the option to "Grab winamp position" and it cuts it where paused. It's awesome. And Free!

Audacity is good, but you have to re-encode the file every time you edit, so there's quality loss with mp3's.
I use mp3DirectCut. It's small, free, with no length limits....

SoundStudio. Look for it on apple.com if you have a mac.
