what exactly does this do and what is the purpose?? How do you defrag a computer... is it healthy?? I am curious... school me please.. thanks.

It free's up space....like when u delete stuff there is a space there and de-fragging will find all those "spaces" and make them available.....I actually de-fragged my laptop two days ago...Its totally healthy!! Hope that helped some!! :D

(All this coming from a 15 year old...boy do I feel special!!! :stunned: )

Oh U go to ur Control Panel, then go to Performance and Maitnenance, then one of the "tasks" should say "Free up in your Hard Disk".....this all assuming u have Windows....... :stunned: :confused: :D

yup.. I have windows... but will it get rid of stuff I havent used?? What exactly does it do.. compress things?? i dont want to lose all 7GB of Interpol stuff I have!! :stunned: :embarrased:
