I watched the The Hives on MTV2 last night and I now know that I definitely not keen. :? nope. not keen. The lead singer squeals like one of my friends when her boyf is doing something naughty to her and it annoys me when she does it, so it just goes to say......
I like more mellow music, that's all, not my thing...soz dont wanna offend anyone. I think the lead singer luurrrrvvvveesss himself summink chronic!!!

The Strokes are good, I have their album. I finally saw their new video and In my place came on right after it. Hee.
I haven't heard much music from The Hives though. I keep confusing them with The Vines. It's not that it's that hard, but when you know you're wrong, you trick yourself into thinking that even if you're right maybe you're wrong. Make sense?
well hey tracy maybe you would like the strokes better
i like that song hard to explain thats my favorite

i do like the couple of songs I have heard from the strokes, actually. I am going to look out a bit more about them before I buy the album though cos what little money I have is precious!!!! :D
well use it wisely because you never know when you "really" need it

The Strokes are VERY talented - not quite so taken by The Hives but im getting there :?
the hives sound so much more energetic......the strokes they're like a band i like to listen to when i'm alone......i've been listening to all together a lot....its one of my fav.

i can't compare these bands at all...i see one who have a talent for writing catchy songs..and another band that pretty much have no talent. [although, that's just my opinion...i've not waved my Fact Telling wond over their music :toff:

IMO, the lead singer of the Hives has a really bad voice live.

ahh. i want to see the hives in action on stage someday. i think they are such showmen. haha.
and the strokes. well, i just like their 'room on fire' sound. i didn't go for them at all before the last album.

really?
i like their old album better (Is This It)
i'd Take it or Leave it over any song on Room On Fire (except The End has No End!)

the end has not end is the reason i bought the album -- love it! it came on when i was in american eagle today. yippee!
anyway, yeah. i think we've had this discussion before. i generally like the over produced and radio friendly sound. i'm no indie hipster. haha. i dunno. i like that glossiness the sound on 'room on fire' has.
i'm a douche!

I've seen so much footage of them from the Big Day Out on TV it'a not funny. I do have to agree though, they are entertaining to watch.
