Sir Paul McCartney has broken his silence over people who criticise his wife, Heather Mills McCartney.
The former Beatle said he wanted to "set the record straight" in a message on his wife's website.

He joined Mills McCartney's sister, Fiona, in defending his wife against the "spiteful, nasty, personal and, untrue" stories by some journalists.

Mills McCartney has endured a barrage of press criticism and reports of family strife since they wed in 2002.

But that's a shame. I'd probably become insane-o if i was famous or notorious enough to garner that much media attention.
