im asking cause,.......well,........spur of the moment, i was writing a goodbye letter, but to no one. then parachutes came on and almost brought a tear to my eye. i re-played it over and over again tryinng to figure out what it meant but i have no clue! then it almost made me cry.
i felt sad. but is so beautiful!!! :!: its so short with sutch meaning!!!
i dont have their new cd yet,and listening to parachutes makes me want their new cd even more!!! ooh how i want it!!! (stands up and feels like squeling like a baby!) *sigh*.
ill just go let my anger out on somthing. hmm...................
i know we never changed moved me,very, very mutch. its my favorite infact.
what do you think your world would be like if their was nothing to make you feel .... i dont know sad/relieved??? what would it be like without the day when its gloomy??? what would the world be like without a tear??? no tears for being hurt,no tears for pain,or no tears for reliaf, happiness, suprisment, yata, yata, yata!!????

what would the world be like withOUT COLDPLAY???!!!!

parachutes song that made me cry was trouble. i dont know why it just did and i dont even remember what i was thinking about i just remember that the first time i heard that song i cried. i also remember feeling stupid but know i dont think that was stupid.

a rush of blood' song that i cried to was warning sign and the scientist
this time i remembere. i was already really into them and i thought that those two songs where just so beautiful and i just couldnt help but to just cry.

this is to jewl i read that you dont have the new one yet. i'm going to tell you my opinion about a rush': i think that cd is so much more beautiful than parachutes. but anyways parachutes is still my fav. i guess because it was the first i heard from coldplay and the first cd i bought from coldplay.

ive cried to the scientist as it so closely matches a very close personal memory - namely the section with the line

"tell me you love me, come back and haunt me"

it reminds me of a girl i loved more than my own life but who i lost, we were together for 2 years and now im 25 in three weeks but have never been the same since loosing her. she still haunts me and i find the lyrics so powerful because they do not suggest regret or fear - more they actually welcome the feeling - much like my own feelings in that i never want to forget her and now i look for a partner who doesnt replace her but who could give me something more

im not sure that makes sense but i cant help but sigh when i write it and feel warm at the same time because i was lucky enough to have the time with her before things went bad

I ALWAYS cry when listening to "Spies". It is such a sad and beautiful song. A stroke of genius I'd say. It just happens automatically every time I put the song on. Even when I am at work (record store...) and we're playing "Parachutes" there - like all the time. It is such a special thing when a song touches you like that.
As for "A Rush of Blood to the Head" it would be "Warning Sign" and "A Rush of Blood to the Head" itself. Coldplay just do that to me...

Sorry guys for turning this into an agony aunt page but hey...i couldnt help smiling (in a good way  ) when i read ur post hicksy - the kinda same thing happened to me. i was going out with my boyfriend for over a year and a half, when he just finished things out of the blue. we had tickets to see coldplay and i thought it may have been awkward if we went just after we'd split up but we went along anyway... he held my hand thruout the scientist and it was a really special moment. i know exactly what u mean about the song not suggesting fear
or regret.
its been over a month and as much as i still love him to pieces, the scientist is just one of the things that make me realise our time together was priceless and that if we were meant to be, our time will come around again

I guess we've all had our sad experiences! It's good to have music like Coldplay which can help you through this. And though it can be very frustrating and exhausting at times - it's such a gift to feel all this. Being emotional and sensitive is precious. If we didn't feel that much we wouldn't be able to appreciate great music...
So try to consider it a gift and not a curse! That is something I've learned through those years of disappointment and frustration.

I've cried to a few, the first ever was Yellow...still got one of my fav lines...For you I bleed myself dry..
oh i love that line! :D :Dwhen he sings it the first time it sounds like he sings 'for you i bleed myself TRYING' am i the only one who thinks this?
i heard that too! even until now i misunderstand many lines in lyrics.. and it's totally confusing when i find different results searching for the correct lyrics  and i kinda find it sometimes hard to get the meaning..

i've never cried to any of Coldplay's songs. There are times when i'm sad and if i listen to Coldplay i feel very depressed, but i've never cried. Most of their songs actually make me happy, most of the songs.

I've cried many times over several songs not because they make me feel particularly sad, I just get very emotional quite easily (soppy tart! ) Cried when I saw them live at Wembley (was right at the front! :smug: ) think it was "In my place" that set me off, not sure why it was that particular song, but hey!! Nowt wrong with a bit of a blub now and then!

I've cried to trouble, warning signs and the scientist... all very moving songs and each time I was down and out and feeling lonely... or worry about never finding a man quite like Chris lol... jokes ;)

I've often cried to Amsterdam on Rush Of Blood. On this album, it's been Don't Panic, Trouble, and Everything's Not Lost  And I don't really know why...

I've cried to- Yellow, Trouble ( I did some bad, bad stuff :/ ), We Never Change (don't ask me why, I don't even know), Everything's Not Lost, Life is for Living(pffft who knows) and Sparks..actually I think all of them..except for maybe Shiver, I've never really been in that 'position'.
Hmm...*tries to defend herself* I was a very emotional girl when I bought that album! :P
