So what do you think about the song? :)

There's a few in Coldplay section :D

It's kinda different from the first one...not sure if I think it's better though. Too much Darkness on it :P I'll still buy it though.

P.S. If anyone wants to hear it, the repeat of the Radio 1 Breakfast Show is here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio1_aod.shtml?r1moylestue

It's about an hour in that they play it :)

On the BBC yesterday they showed Busted arriving and one of them was asked about what the single and the cause meant to him and he said something like:

"Uh yeah, well I've just read the leaflet in the car, it seems uh pretty bad. Glad we're helpnig and stuff..."

Mimixxx
18-11-2004, 02:42 PM
A lot of people are saying it's a 'disaster' and other such put downs.

But as Fi said it's for a good cause so it shouldn't really matter how it compares to Band Aid I...the point is all these artists have taken the time to record this single to help African children.

I shall be buying it too :D

Dizzee Rascal

 i can't stand him! he doesn't speak properly, his music is crap, he can't rap and i could go on!

*[color=blue][/color Couldn't agree more - absolutely dreadful!! His part absolutely ruins the song on its own. The song in general is too disjointed with too many ill-fitting guitar breaks, and the vocal performances aren't a patch on the originals.
I realise it's for a good cause, but my suggestion would be for everyone to donate the equivalent money directly to the charity instead. Bring back Boy George, George Michael, Sting, Paul Young and the rest - before it's too late!! :)

Spot on!! The originals are nearly always the best.............................leave them be!! The vocals on Band Aid 20 just sound very weak in general. I love Coldplay and Dido, but.................................I think you know what I'm getting at!!

Anyway, for posterity, I feel it's time for me to post my award-winning ;) lyric to Michelle "Fat"Manus's horrendous ditty "All This Time".
Please feel free to add to it or post any other alternative lyrics you might think up:

"All This Time..............................
I've scoffed a hundred cakes today,
I look like a whale you've gotta say,
Can you hazard a guess how much I weigh?

All This Time,
This is a bl**dy dreadful song,
It just drones on and on and on,
My singing career won't last for long.......................

And that last line seems to have been very prophetic!!
