Obviously Chris Martin is my all time fave band member, he is a genius in my opinion but I also love Tim Wheeler from Ash - great voice, writes great songs and is a fantastic all round entertainer imo

Ahh....it's impossible to pick 1 but i will anyways

Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys - he was an absolute genius in my opinion

he's kinda my fave in terms of music, in terms of live performances/showmen -

Matt Bellamy of Muse, oh my god how he does not die of exhaustion or from getting brain damage from the amount of times he smashes his head on his guitar/stage/audience members i'll never know.

yeah i see all that kind of stuff too like when singers hit there heads with their fist when there singing i know that sounds stupid but i've seen it done. i went show and saw a guy hit his self on accident with his microphone. it wasnt a big band, but that guy felt pretty stupid

Fran Healy from Travis ... he has a gorgeous voice, writes great songs, is hilarious and just generally a sweet, down-to-earth guy. :)

He was my first rock star obsession and I'll never get over him. I've loved him since I was 13. Yes he is supposed to be an asshole but I still love him.

And Will because he doesn't get enough credit!

Although, for as long as I can remember, I've had a thing for Larry Mullen of U2, I've always thought Adam Clayton is the epitome of cool.

And speaking of bass players, Guy......Guy is good. :)

I'd have to say Richie Birkenhead of Into Another. He is the most fascinating guy I've ever met. Too bad the band split up in 1996...

And Chris Martin OF COURSE. But I guess there's no real need for saying that - it is obvious!

';'

It didn't sound friendly? Woops, I didn't intend that... It's just that it's no surprise picking Chris so I wanted to point out it was not so original of me to say that...
I love Coldplay, too!! So we're in this together...
And you're totally right - they are good AND good-looking... :D

Damn this is an old thread. Many great musicians weren't even in bands yet when this was created.

I'm gonna pull one out of left field and say Jarvis Cocker. He's everything you want in a great musician. Talented, good songwriter, entertaining personality, great stage presence, and not afraid to speak his mind even if it means hurting a few feelings here and there.

Tim Rice-Oxley (Pianist and main song writer for Keane). He really is a genius. For some reason I love how long it rakes him to answer questions. And the faces he makes when he's anwsering questions. :inquisitive: and how he's so calm and quite when he's talking, but when he's at his piano he gets all into it. Like he can feel the music. It's so wonderful to watch him live! And his glasses! Tim with glasses is so...CUTE! Haha! And he's always loved writing music. His songs are filled with so much emotion and sorrow, but with a glimmer of hope (sometimes). The songs are so personal. For example, Hamburg Song, which he wrote for Tom Chaplin (lead singer). And you can fit so many of the songs into things you have gone through or experienced.

Oh...haha! I didn't realise how long my expaination was...haha!
