i was talking to someone and they were telling me about the much music intimate and interactive show with coldplay, and my friend wasnt happy with the questions the host was asking.
also how do you feel about what the media says about coldplay
just curious!!!!

i try not to pay much attention to it - it annoys me more when other (real) people tell me they don't like coldplay because of something they've read somewhere, but that happens with other bands too.

yeah i hate hearing that kind of stuff
for example i go to yahoo and chat and i can never find anyone who likes them

the media tends to twist everything
they don't always just comment on the facts - they like to incorporate their own opinions into what they say, and often because people aren't exposed to anything else, believe that what they say are the facts

I really don't pay attention.
I've never read a Coldplay review of interview. I've never seen anything on TV about them away from which I didn't change the channel.
It's all about the he-said, she-said bullshit. :)

i know this thread is old, but the girl who hosted the I&I was a complete moron and is not representative of the media as a whole. there are still some members of the media that are smart and have valid opinions.

i don't think the media lie, they just report things in the light that they see it as. i agree with sweety that many people in media are smart. you just have to watch out and try to get as much info as possible before you make any judgements about something because there might be more than one view on a subject

of course the media lies!! the media sensationalizes everything. why do you think the top story is always about a murder or rape or something and not about a little girl doing something positive in her community? because not as many people find that interesting and they won't get as many viewers.

in the past 10 years violent crimes in the US has declined by about 10% whereas media reporting on violent crimes has increased by about 400%
