Holidays in Croatia: Any suggestion? [Archive] - Coldplay

I'm going to travel to Croatia this summer but I don't know much about this country. Which are the most beautiful cities and places? Is it worth to rent a car or should we travel by train?

We're going to spend about ten days (if we've enough cash :confused: )

Please help me, I don't want to miss a thing :)

I've read a lot about Dubrovnik and Mimica..... but I'm not from the EU or near there, no I can't help really

omg, i went to Croatia two summers ago, its beautiful. Go to Zagreb, Dubrovnik, there both gorgeous! have fun, its hard not to! lol

Finally I went to the Cote d'Azur, in France. It was cheaper because we used our own car and also very beautiful. My suggestion is to visit the Island of Porquerolles, which is 15 minutes far in boat from Hyeres, next to Toulon. Incredible!

I'll explain more about the trip if someone is interested. :rolleyes:

I used to know a guy from croatia... I think is a beautiful country, but I ´ve only seen a few things!!! anyway, Zagreb is a little city but with many interesting places!! :)

zagreb is our largest city... but, if you want to see how croatia can be beautiful, visit us on summer.. we have the most beautiful seaside... croatias part od adriatic sea is known as the sea with as much islands as it could have... more than thousand on such a small place :)

mh!!! all is relative!!! ha,ha... I know Zagreb is your largest city, is just, for my friend is too tiny in comparation with Mexico city!!!!

He also sended to me some pics of zagreg!!! I think it looks great!!!

we were twice in Croatia - in a place called "Selce" it was amazing...blue sea, pure sky, ehmmm....nice boys :D :lol:

croatia is beautiful.my uncle has a ship and a lot nof house there :smug:
i think if you want to see something beautiful you have to see the island of krka and the lake of plitvice :dozey:
i am actually speaking in croatian language :smug:

Depends what you are into.
There's abundance of historical things, that's mostly in the older part of the city.
There's a nice mountain so you can see whole city from there, and I dunno there's a lot of things.

I've got a cousins there Šempeter/Celje.It's funny cuz' things seems kinda expensive there, when I was there i bought 2 cds and costed me like 8000 tolara, thought you've converted to € by now.

Nema na čemu :lol: You should go to Jarun, it's a local lake or how the locals
call it Zagreb's sea. :D There's a also a skatepark there but it's shit.
Hmm there's lots of bars and similar places, but a lot of it with specific kind of music called "narodnjaci" that might not apeal to you.

hey... i'm from slovenia :) ... & i live next to the austrian border :) so i'm northern than u ...
and as usually... i go to croatia every year... really beautiful seaside... but if u go visit croatia... than u can also go to visit our country :sneaky:
