My grandmother died of anorexia a few months after my grandad. She couldn´t live without him, so she stopped eating :/

Someone I know who is really really close to me had anorexia. She would go for days without eating and when she did it was only like fruit or raw vegetables. She's better now though and i'm really proud of her.

^It's not...anorexia is a mental illness, so it's possible for one to be affected and not the other.

Joyce it's good that you recognise you have a problem with eating, first step to recovery :)

Yeah I know, but although it seems impossible now, when you start to recover it does go away.

It takes a while to be close to normal again, but it does happen with time. :)

When I saw her in one of the tv shows...I thought to myself "Man, she is so boney! :stunned: " 'cause that's all I could see...bones..and then after seeing her..I thought I was fat 'cause I'm not all boney like her...but I do agree that it's a mental thing. Sometimes I really don't have a problem with what I am eating..but then other times I'm like "I am not gonna eat today. I'm just gonna drink lots of water, take my vitamins and my pills and if I get hungry then I'll eat some fruits and that's all I am eating today" and then I go along with the day and I don't eat...so yeah, it's a mental thing... I hope she gets better soon.. :)

I had a slight eating disorder for only about one year. I am so glad I am over it, and completelyover it at that! I feel much better, but I still have times when I absolutely detest food.

It also has to do with your genes I think..
one of my siblings had anoprexia, I can't remember anything really, because we were little when that happened. He must had been like 3, and was diagnosted with that :/ .
He's very healthy now, he eats and eats.... and he's still skinny, but not bonny or anything like her.... he's just slim :D

It's not surprising, I mean with all the pressure she's had put on her since childhood. It's very difficult to vent your feelings when it's your family who put the pressure on you so this was her way of dealing with it. My friend is going through the same thing :embarrased: :/
